Just 45 minutes north of Atlanta is the elegant and romantic pink marble mansion, known as the Tate House. The classic southern romantic fantasy is felt throughout the stately plantation like setting. The gardens invite you to stroll through the centuries old oaks and to host your garden wedding amongst the six flowing fountains and picturesque statues surrounding the Atlanta Area Wedding Venue's property.
This North Georgia wedding venue features the 19,000 square foot mansion and 4,000 square foot formal ballroom. It is an excellent example of the "second renaissance revival style, " which is an adaptation of Italian and English classical styles. The Tate House is listed as the Pink Palace in the National Register of Historic Places, making it the perfect destination for your Georgia historic home wedding.

Visited The Tate House for the Christmas tour of the home and lunch. Also a fun tradition. Nice decor, always so festive and wonderful.
They also have a gift shop. This year it wasn't as full as in years past. However this is still Covid. Perhaps a reason for their gift shop being so sparse or many items were sold out.

The most beautiful Christmas decor I've ever seen. Each room was unique and had its own tree. Had a wonderful buffet lunch in their restaurant which was delicious although the variety was very limited. Would have liked to receive more information on the history of the home and original occupants, but overall well worth the trip!

I am writing this review as a wedding guest. I recently attended a wedding here and was blow away by the beauty of this venue. The Tate house is simply stunning. 😍
The ceremony venue is bright and had ceiling-to-floor windows with 180° views. The backdrop for the altar is completely glass, open windows which provides the perfect natural lighting.
The cocktail hour space is the most incredible. As you walk in, you are greeted by a large greenery space with a stone staircase. Up the stairs you have open space with tables that leads to a side room and outdoor patio area. Hour d'vours included

I have been a preferred makeup artist vendor in Tate House for over 3 years and done numerous weddings. The entire mansion is beautiful. The bridal suite is the most convenient and well lit in North Ga. Cindy is extremely helpful. She treats every bride and every wedding as a special one.
Instead of bothering my brides with minor requests, I always ask Cindy, and she is very accomodating every time. She is extremely professional and does her job beautifully. I highly recommend Tate House.

In June, we had my husband’s retirement celebration at the magnificent Tate House. We will forever treasure this wonderful memory! From the cocktail reception to the exceptional dinner in the ballroom, the evening was nothing short of amazing! Marsha Mann , Cindy and the entire staff go above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect! I highly recommend the Tate House for any special event and assure you it will be a night to remember!

BEWARE!!!!!!
We live in Chicago and wanted to book The Tate House for our wedding in October, 2021. We were going to fly into Atlanta this weekend and were SO excited about the venue but ended up cancelling. There were many things we were willing to look past that we probably wouldn't look past if the venue wasn't so beautiful but then it just ended up being a mess!
-I told Cindy in November that we would love to come this month (December) to tour the venue before we signed any contracts or gave any money. She let me put a soft hold on a date until we came to visit which was very reassuring

I planned my wedding at the Tate House for 2 years. It finally happened on Sunday October 14th. It was THE best day of my life. People kept asking me, "How are you so calm?" Well, that is because the Tate House gave me absolutely no reason to be worried! Coordinators, Megan & Michelle, are absolute angels. Cindy, their sales rep, is an absolute sweetheart. Paul, the decorator, works magic with the decor and flowers.. It looked absolutely beautiful. I have never received so many compliments in my life! I worked mostly with Megan and she is amazing. She responded very promptly and knew

Most disorganized mess I've witnessed.
First after being rescheduled from dinner because of snow, to a lunch which costs less but I have no idea if they changed what they charged me until my statement comes in, we left over the less than stellar menu.
If my wife had known what the menu was, she would have cancelled the reservation. There's no way of knowing what very limited cafeteria food they are serving. I cook better than this at home.
After finally being called into seating, a hostess seated us at a table with no spaces left to sit. Go figure. It's simple math. X number of chairs

I am reviewing as a event attendee as well as an occasional employee. The Tate House continues to evolve into the most beautiful wedding venue in Georgia. A new covered pavilion has recently been added which makes it perfect, since a bride can now have their outdoor wedding regardless of weather. The owners have also added bridal and groom cottages for general wedding preparation, or for full-day rental if desired.
I am amazed at the level of attention and options offered to the customers, and the food is wonderful. The chef and his team keeps such a clean, organized kitchen also, which

I'm from out of town and drove to see the house for one of their Christmas tours. Once we arrived there, the electricity was out and and they had their patrons eating in the dark (very dim candlelight). Our table had been given away and our seven person reservation was crammed at another table that already had three, making it a very uncomfortable ten. We were the only group that didn't receive the tour we paid for and when we wanted to speak with management we were treated very rudely and asked to leave and did not receive our money back or ticket vouchers to return.
