Rooms were lovely and warm (it was freezing outside). It looked like the rooms had been recently renovated and were immaculately clean. It did seem a little expensive considering it was the off season and the whole town had shut down for winter. The breakfast could also be improved.

$90 after tax for three people in a room with two queen beds. Wi-Fi barely works and the TVs are old but the rooms are big, the showers are hot with good pressure, they have DIRECTV, and the location is decent. There aren't fridges in the rooms and there is no AC, but the staff is very friendly. Check out is 10:30.

Located within easy walking distance to "everything" in town, this is an older building and rooms are just rooms. No a/c so windows are open to cool the room; thus outside noise is unavoidable. Pretty pricey but you are at the mercy of what's available in Silverton. The check in is about 2 blocks away and the young lady behind the desk was super friendly and helpful.

Our room had been newly renovated. Walk-in shower, comfortable beds, beautiful view. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. We were very pleased. Wifi was really fast. Price was great too!

Completely deceiving! Not nearly as much room as advertised. No A/C. Barking dogs everywhere. Super over priced! Avoid the irritation.

We got in to Idaho City at 5pm. We reached out to the owners but got no answer. We called and messaged through the Air BnB app. We had no way to get into our room. Finally, after midnight we got a code for the room, only because the local bartender knew a woman who was friends with the housekeeper and she gave us the code. Unbelievably, once we got into the room and left again, the door was jammed and we couldn’t reach enter. After 20 minutes of trying we got it opened. So then we had to leave the bedroom window open so we could climb through to get into the room once we left. The whole town

We stayed in 7 different motels in one week. We had this room booked for 2 nights. We didn't stay the second night. No AC in the room. The bed was super uncomfortable. Neither one of us got any sleep. They wouldn't refund the 2nd night because we were past the 72 hour mark of canceling. How were we going to know that we didn't like the room 72 hours before getting there? Will NOT be back.

Let me tell you, I was skeptical as this is a small, dated hotel, but that’s what this town is all about....simplicity!! However, they went above and beyond to make sure our every need was met. I was unaware our room wasn’t equipped with a fridge and they immediately went out and got one for us and had it installed before our arrival with no questions asked. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, the bigger room came open next to us and they upgraded us with a very very small upcharge that was well worth it. Needless to say, I recommend them highly. Super friendly and accommodating. The water was

At least 5 violations , for that price you would believe that they would put toilet paper in the room, at least go to Walmart and buy some pillows, and no ice. This place was terrible.

A terrible nights sleep.

Loud- the in room refrigerator rattles and roars. The shower has a persistent smacking drip. Thin walls.

The mattress has some covering on it that doesn't let your skin breathe so that sleeping is a clammy moist adventure.

The light shines right through the thin blinds onto your face.

The shower mixes cold water into your hot shower.

The hotel is right on the main street. Everything is in walking distance. The hotel seems well maintained. Our two queen bed room was spacious with comfy beds. The only problem was a street light shined right into our room and it was bright even with the curtains closed. I would stay again.

Motel was pretty clean but old. Was the last available room in town so I didn't care. Owner at the time was hospitable, friendly and funny. Told us what was interesting to see while in town. Town has a neat wild west atmosphere. No one locks doors on cars ect..

Can't say enough great about this place. Came up from Oklahoma with no idea where to stay and no reservation. Andy, the owner, went out of his way and made possible a room to accommodate my family. Even after we returned late in the evening to our room he was on premises and available for questions. Offered us valuable information about the riding trails and rules in the area. He made our trip! Rooms clean and easy parking for our trailer.

We had a nice clean room last summer (2011) and have another week scheduled this July. Andy is a nice man that runs a clean operation. Great location as we walked to everything.

As with most things in life you get what you pay for. There is no mistaking the prospector for the four seasons, but the prices are right, rooms are clean & warm, and the owner Andy is a great guy.
