All lodging has free WIFI, satellite TV, a dresser, sofa, private bath with shower, and in-room coffee. Motel Rooms have two Queen beds. Efficiency rooms have one bed - queen or king - and a kitchenette. Our historic cottage has a kitchen/dining room, one Queen bed, a sofa bed, a private porch and yard, and is wheelchair accessible.

Awesome stay!! Debra was great, and the only one that called me back, and I'm glad she did! Non-contact check-in and check-out was easy and quick. We rented a kitchenette that turned out to be perfect! Everything we could possibly need was in the room. Not many restaurants open in Lake City in January, so having the option of fixing our own meals was nice. Room was super clean and warm, despite being near 0 degrees outside. Highly recommend!!!

What a great motel!! Came to Lake City for ice climbing, and the location of this motel couldn't be beat. Extremely friendly host, very clean room, and extra comfy bed. We had our (very well behaved and friendly) dog with us, and the host was nothing but kind to us and him. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We will be 100% be back!

The facility is showing its wear a bit, but the owner is delightful and hospitable. The location is great. The ambience is quiet. (OHVs are a few blocks away!) We stayed in a room, but there are cabins as well. COVID precautions are well thought out. I recommend it as a good option in a lovely mountain getaway town.

We had a wonderful winter visit at Matterhorn Motel! The host Debra greeted us when we arrived and had our room ready for us early in the day! Our room was very comfortable with coffee, kitchen amenities, and more! Also a very welcoming place for our dog. We will definitely return! Thank you Debra!!

The best hotel in Lake City! A must stay for all ice climbers- the hot tub is very nice and it is located right by the ice park. The room was clean, we had a fridge and a microwave... The owner Debra made us feel like at home! There were no restaurants open on Sunday and she was very sweet and made us amazing vegetarian dinner... It is literally the nicest place I have ever stayed. Will be visiting again!

You absolutely must stay here! Beautiful setting, wonderful rooms with kitchenettes and the kindest staff who are ultra accommodating. From the minute I called them I knew I had made a great choice and I wasn't wrong. I'd recommend this wonderful place to anyone coming through the very cool, historic, and cute Colorado mountain town!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Matterhorn Mountain Lodge for a quick getaway to Lake City and we absolutely loved it!
The lady who checked us in was very nice and offered to help us find hiking trails, restaurants, etc.
The room was VERY nice - a small kitchenette, a huge and COMFY King Size bed, just very comfortable lodgings. There were also lawn chairs outside of our room where we sat in the evening looking at the beautiful mountain views and stars.
The lodge was very easy to find and very close to the downtown historic area. My only con is that the bathroom was a little small, but for
