My two-month journey with AMP Fitness has had lasting effects. I started unable to finish many basic physical activities without getting easily out of breath. I had done cardio workouts before, but I was not used to any resistance training. Monitoring my heart rate helped me to see how hard I was working and consistently push myself.

Metabolic rate is a measure of how much food, or fat, is converted to energy in a day. Resting metabolic rate (RMR) is the measurement of how much food, or energy, is required to maintain basic body functions such as heartbeat, breathing, and maintenance of body heat while you are in a state of rest.
A VO2 Max Test is a measurement that reflects a person's ability to perform sustained exercise. It is generally considered the best indicator of cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. The actual measurement is "milliliters of oxygen used in one minute per kilogram of body weight." It is suitable for a wide range of individuals, from the sedentary to elite athletes.

Larry and his staff do a great job as trainers. They challenge you but at the same time make sure they understand your level of ability. They also take the time to listen and make sure that they provide enough strength and endurance training, making sure you do it the safe and beneficial way. I would highly recommend AMP Fitness if you are in need of a personal trainer.

The individualized training here beats anything I tried before coming here 7 years ago. I recommend Larry’s 25 day metabolic makeover. Larry tested my individual resting metabolic rate and used the results to guide me through a customized healthy eating plan. The gym uses MyZone technology to monitor heart rate , calories burned and overall effort.

AMP for me was a complete life changer. I have been with AMP for over a year and I have constant, I mean CONSTANT, results and support. I am a single parent and don’t have an excessive amount of time, but feeling good and looking good is important to me and the trainers here made that possible. I've been coming to this gym for over three years, and it's not because it's the most convenient for me. It starts with the owner, who is doing this as a second career. He's not someone who studied fitness in school because they liked to work out. Larry knows the science behind why he's having you do the workouts. Fitness is a passion, and motivation comes naturally for him. He's also hired like-minded trainers to round out his staff. The workouts are challenging, and the support is amazing. You won't find anyone yelling here, which makes for a nice environment. You won't be disappointed with a
