Services
Wee Rascals Pre-School has been a part of the Surprise community since 1979. Founder Joyce Mathis open Wee Rascals in May of 1979 with a mission to educate young children in a fun, safe, nurturing way. Joyce's hard work, incredible work ethic and extreme dedication is still the driving force behind our vision.
A child's self-esteem is preserved and strengthened within the Child's culture and language is fostered and respected through planned and unplanned activities. Children learn best when they have relationships that are safe, consistent, and predictable. Children's success is enhanced when the involvement includes: parents/guardians, center staff, and community in creating a network for the benefit of the child's needs.
Our High/Scope curriculum is grounded in the theoretical perspective of Jean Piaget, who believed that children develop thinking skills through direct experiences with people and objects in the world around them. Includes initiative, planning, engagement, problem solving, and reflection. Includes self-identity, sense of competence, emotions, empathy, community, building relationships, cooperative play, moral development, and conflict resolution.

Let me start off by saying i drive exactly 45 minutes to drop my child off and as well as picking him (obviously) and i drive that far because the improvement i have seen in my son. My son is so excited just to go to school and wakes up bright and early. (5:40am)
My favorite thing about the morning time is when my son sees his favorite teacher and mine as well of course; TEACHER LUISA,
He LOVES to give her hugs and tells me to go to work with a kiss and a "go away mommy" while he closes the door on me as i am outside of the classroom

My family loves Wee Rascals! My kids went there years ago and we currently have other children there. The staff and teachers at Wee Rascals always treat you like family and the kids are well taken care of. We toured other Pre Schools in Surprise and Wee Rascals was the last place we looked but by far the cleanest and the best rates. I knew as soon as we entered the building that was where we wanted our children to go. Several of our friends have taken their children there as well.

I love Wee Rascals Preschool, my baby has gone here since he was just a few months old and continues to go there for after school care. The owner's, Melanie & Ernie are genuinely caring people. They always go above and beyond. I highly recommend this preschool. I wouldn't take my children anywhere else.

This daycare is absolutely amazing. My son loves going everyday. He has never told me about any bad things happening. The staff is very involved. They know the kids and parents. I am greeted every time i go inside. Also not just anyone can het in you have to have a code to get in. I would highly recommend this place

Our family loves wee rascals. The staff is awesome very loving very understanding and caring. They are very patient with children (especially mine going thru different changes) the owners and teachers my kids love to see and be in their care it is a relief for me as a single mom to know my boys are very well loved n cared for when I am gone. I would absolutely recommend this care center.

My Foster Daughters Doctor suggested Wee Rascals Preschool. When I called I got a warm welcome and friendly assistance on the Application Process which was more affordable and accommodating than most preschools in the area!
At first my 3 year old was frightened by this new experience, but with the personalized nurturing and thriving environment at Wee Rascals Preschool, she has now elevated to a higher learning classroom and she now asks me to take her backpack for her as she is busy playing with her friends.
She is very happy and it shows by the care that Wee Rascals Provided.

My 4 year old daughter attends this preschool and she absolutely loves it, although we did have a bit of a rocky beginning with her and another child in her classroom.. but after speaking to the director and owner of the school they promised me they would take care of it and they did just that. My little princess loves her teachers - especially Ms. Esther - and her peers, and best of all I haven't had a problem since! They are so good to her and I am super comfortable taking my daughter there knowing she'll have a good day.

I took my 3 yr old daughter there for a few months and the teachers assistants were unhappy, saying they hadn't had a day off and worked for 10 hours+, kids were crying and had wet diapers everywhere. Every time I picked up my daughter she had a full diaper. The 'classroom' always smelled of super strong bleach- like choking strong. I mentioned it to the managing gal, told her how harmful the fumes can be to children especially with no ventilation and she said they use the normal amount but some teachers bleached everything and too often but nothing changed. Definitely DO NOT recommend

I have been taking my grandchild since August '12 to Wee Rascals preschool. The owners and preschool teacher, Ms. Fabi ,who to me is the Wonder Woman of preschool teachers, have been a real blessing in our lives. Ms. Fabi really helped my granddaughter through a tough time of adjusting. My grandchild was removed from a very unsafe and unsecure home to stay with me and her papa. She loves school and just recently turned 4 yrs old. When I drop her off and pick her up, I see nothing but happy kids and preschool teachers who are entirely devoted to the kids.
