Lisa's love for dentistry is still strong after many years in the dental field. She enjoys providing excellent patient care and developing long lasting relationships with each patient. Lisa has been with Hamerink Dental since 2010 and is part of the MDA's Certified Dental Business Professional Program.
Dr. John Hamerink graduated in 2004 from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science. After his undergraduate degree, Dr. Hamerink completed his Masters of Science degree in Basic Medical Sciences from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 2010 with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery.

I have been going to Hammerink Dental for over 40 years. Doctor Howard and Doctor John are not only skilled in their profession, they both are kind and gentle. I have anxiety going to the dentist, but they take great care in making sure I have zero pain and that I am comfortable. I was born with bad teeth genes but these two have done amazing work to keep my smile something I can be proud of! Thank you Dr. Hammerink!!

An excellent crew that outmatches all competition by a longshot. From the doctors, to the hygienists, to the front office staff, you won't find someone who is anything less than outstandingly professional and personable. The crew is noticeably more knowledgeable than the competition, and their equipment is state of the art. Has been my dentist office for 35 plus years & hope I never have to change. Dr. H. Hamerink since the very beginning, and in recent years, Dr. J. Hamerink more often. Both are super knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate & are excellent at explaining & doing what's necessary. It's a nice, small and cozy place for your dental needs. Anna has been my dental hygienist for many years and is great - friendly, knowledgeable, gentle & very thorough. There are not enough words to acknowledge how wonderful Dr John and his staff are. I have followed Dr John since he was a dental student at University of Michigan approximately 10 years ago. He makes you feel comfortable as a patient and his attention to detail is immaculate. I always look forward to my appointment to see Dr John and Anna, my dental hygienist. She does a fabulous job at cleaning my teeth and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I am in the health field and would recommend Dr John to any of patients too.

Our family has been coming here for 25 years. We haved moved out of the area now but wouldn't even consider getting a new dentist. All of the staff are excellent and very friendly. I can be a baby about getting dental work - everyone is so patient and helpful - the work is done quickly and painlessly. Simply the best!

Like most of us, I do not eagerly look forward to the dental experience and what the Doc has in store to tell me. For this reason, it had been awhile since I had seen the dentist (measured in years) and due to that I had some extra anxiety about the visit prior to sitting in the chair. Fortunately, after my visit to Dr. John Hamerink a couple weeks ago, much of my dental anxiety is now gone. The experience was pain free, quick, and the professional and disarming Dr. John was a perfect fit to put my dental anxiety at ease.

The experience at the Hamerink Dental practice was superior. The office is a small, family run practice but it doesn't sacrifice expertise and care. The front desk staff was warm and helpful and I didn't even have to sit down and wait- I was led right back to my chair. The cleaning was thorough and I had both Dr. John and Dr. Hamerink check on me. As both are professors at Michigan, I felt I was in extremely good & capable hands. With a busy schedule, they kept my cleaning and appointment from walking in the door to out in under 45 minutes!
