I began doing rain gutter and downspout installations back in 1986. I soon realized that there was a need for this great product and came up with the idea for this business. As soon as it was possible, I took and passed the test to obtain a c-43 contractor's license which allowed me to work as a California contractor in the sheet metal trade.
In 1997, the company was incorporated. We hand-cut our mitres, 90 degree or custom angles. For years, our competition talked this method down, saying that it wouldn't hold up as well as their box mitres, but now many other companies also hand-cut mitres. Our machinery is cleaned and fine-tuned regularly.

A different guy (Kenneth) took over the business since I used Rob years ago (I was very happy then, why I called them for this job.) New guy is not good with communication and unreliable. Workers (not owner) showed up many hours late to install, brought wrong profile (after several emails correcting his quote/arrangements to the right one and him confirming) so was lucky I caught them just in time before install. Then not a single call or message (not even sorry we'll come back) until couple weeks later randomly got message they'd completed it. I was already getting other quotes since

Communication is horrible. I contacted them through their website after finding them on yelp. I got a call after about 2-3 weeks after, made an estimate appointment. The appointment day came and he was a no show, I called him three times and no answer, emailed him and no answer either. I'm pretty sure he pays this site for five stars.

We needed to have rain gutters installed but we also had a patio cover with a slatted top that was attached to the back of our house. So much water drained off of our roof that the covers on our outdoor furniture were being damaged by the standing water on them. My husband contacted a few gutter companies and was told that they could not install gutters due to the way the patio structure was attached to the house. Rob Nelson, the owner of Hydro Flow, found a way to do it that works perfectly and is very unobtrusive and attractive. The gutters blend in beautifully. He completely solved our problem

Their lead time is long for a good reason - they do a great job at a fair price. I was debating between them and one of the well regarded competitors. Boy, am I glad that I went with Hydroflow. The other guys worked on a house down the street and it looked like a corner cutting affair. Rob's guys did it right. I should probably say "guy" not "guys", since one of them seemed to spend 80% of his time browsing on his phone :-)

Robert came out and gave me a quote. It was simple and straight forward. The price I felt was good so we went ahead with the purchase. Unfortunately he was backed up 4 month. But that's what happens when you do good work. Eventually I got the call and the next day two of his guys came out to install the system. Within 5 hours they were done and it looks fantastic. The color match is spot on. Everything is straight and well fastened. I highly recommend hydro flow for continuous gutters.

I hired Hydro Flow to install gutters at my house. When I asked for a quote, the owner (Rob) came out to meet me and take the measurements himself. He gave me great advice about where to get rain tanks, and how he could connect them to the downspouts.
The crew did the work in just a few hours. They installed seamless gutters, which they rolled onsite. Every gutter was custom-made for my house! The gutters look great, and they connect perfectly into my rain tanks. The tanks fill up, and then the overflow is directed safely away from the house. The final invoice matched Rob's initial quote

Who knew gutters could make me so happy? After years of enduring periodic floods into the back of our house during San Diego's infrequent rains, we took the plunge and had Rob's team come in to create a gutter and water reclamation system in our North Park house. His crew was great...detail oriented and careful with the old wood on our historic home. The seamless gutters match the house paints perfectly, and the crew was careful to install beautiful rain chains and connect my new rain barrels to the system. Highly recommend!!

Rob returned my call within a few hours after leaving a leaving a a voice message. The other rain gutter companies I called took days to return my call and a couple companies didn’t call at all. Rob came to my house to survey the job the same day we talked while other companies took more than a week to estimate the job. Rob offered me expert advise on various styles of raingutters. The Hydro Flow estimate was very competitive with other companies. The installers were very professional and explained, in detail, the installation process. Their workmanship is first-rate.
