Tender Years
At Tender Years Child Development Centers, we understand that choosing a daycare & early education center for your child is one of the most important decisions that you will have to make as a parent. The right program can properly prepare them for success in both school and life. It's a decision that can truly have a lasting impact.

As a local, family-owned corporation, we know completely the needs of the families in Central Pennsylvania. And as a mother and grandmother, I can tell you that we pride ourselves on our family-like environment. It's our top priority to make sure that the families and staff here at Tender Years feel like they're part of our family.
Services
Since 1984, Tender Years has been offering more than just standard daycare. We're a family-owned business that understands the challenges of being a parent in today's hectic world. We also understand how important quality child care is to a child's development. That's why we created a learning environment that enriches your child and helps them develop critical skills - while giving you the convenience you want and the peace of mind you need.
At Tender Years, we believe that quality early childhood development programs are the cornerstone to future success. Far beyond basic daycare, these programs are designed to build a strong foundation for your child's cognitive and social skills, and set them on a course for a successful experience at both school and life.
Our nurseries are designed to accommodate infants from 6 weeks to approximately 12 months old. Each nursery is divided into three sections, separating infants by their development. The designated adult/child ratio in Pennsylvania for infants is 1:4. In order to maintain consistency for your child, parents are asked to provide information on their child's specific daily routine.
Our Young Toddler rooms are designed to accommodate toddlers from 12 months to 24 months old each. Groups are divided by birth date and/or developmental needs. The designated adult/child ratio in Pennsylvania for young toddlers is 1:5. Daily Grams will be completed on the Tadpoles system and emailed at the end of the day.
Looking for a high quality Preschool in Camp Hill, Hershey or Mechanicsburg? Designed to accommodate students ages 3 to 4, Tender Years' Preschool program is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and taught by certified teachers who are passionate about early education. We offer a full-day program as well as a half-day program (morning or afternoon).

We love Tender Years, my daughter started at the location in Hershey and we moved her to Mechanicsburg since it was closer to home. The facility is newer and there is an indoor tree house which is really neat. Both places she has had great experiences as the teachers have been nice and very nurturing to my daughter. She has bonded with a lot of the other students and she is learning a lot. They do arts & crafts, teach sign language, teach spanish, dance, sing lots of songs, play outside on the playground and teach them letters, numbers, days of the week, months of the year and how to write

My 18 month old son and I had a bad experience with this day-care. My husband and I had to remind the teachers several times that he needs some extra help with eating but they didn't seem to make much of an effort. He would come home with large bruises and scrapes/scratches that were not present he was dropped off. One day I picked him up and he ear had a large amount of dried blood on his ear from a deep scratch. I do not think they monitor the children as closely as they claim. If they are really so good at watching the children then they should implement video cameras to verify this. Once

First off, I'm completely surprised that I'm the first to leave a review for this wonderful school. My daughter, Isabella, was one of their first students. She started in the summer so she could get acquainted with the staff and other students before starting kindergarten in the fall of 2013. As a working single mom, I felt the guilt that I couldn't give my daughter a summer like I had growing up. Tender Years relieved me of that guilt, providing her with trips to the pool, wonderful arts and crafts, learning opportunities, ice cream from a weekly ice cream truck, and more fun
