Dr. Benka received her DDS degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007. During her dental career she has been a general dentist in private practice, serving the people of Oak Park and its surrounding communities. Dr. Benka was a faculty member at Midwestern University's College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove 2011-2019.

Dr Mike and his hygienist, Sandra are fantastic! I am a dental coward and they took great care of me. I had a 20 year old cracked filling replaced and there was no pain at all! Everyone from the front desk, to billing & communications were very professional, yet friendly. Best dentist and dental group I’ve ever had in my life (I’m not young either)!

This was my first visit to Ponzio Dental and I was very pleased with the entire experience. I found the staff to be very friendly and professional; Jacqui was my hygienist -- she was very thorough and explained each step of the process. Dr Benko reviewed my x-rays and did a complete check of my teeth, which included a mouth-cancer screening. I felt like I had been very well cared for

I chipped a tooth on a Sunday night and made a request for an appointment online. Ponzio called Monday morning and scheduled me to come in right away (I live really close to the office). It took only 45 mins door-to-door to fix my front tooth and the results were amazing -- it's impossible to tell which tooth was chipped. Thank you for helping me fix my smile so quickly!

THE BEST DENTAL OFFICE/DENTIST!
I arrived at the office, called in and was brought to a room right away. I needed a filling replaced in my tooth after a root canal (which was a good experience). Dr Ponzio cleaned out the tooth, put the filling in (no pain) and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! I must admit, I don't like going to the dentist but I do love Dr Ponzio!!!

Phenomenal experience. Incredible staffing, they respect your time and always run on schedule. The office is beautiful, run efficiently and I felt completely safe despite the current pandemic. My awesome hygienist was gentle and so thorough. Dr. Ponzio performed a complete examination & answered questions, with his light-up-the-room smile, making everyone feel like they are his only patient! The entire staff makes you happy to be there. We are a new family with Ponzio Dental, switching after our old dentist in Elmhurst retired. A family friend recommended Ponzio to us are we are so happy with our care.
The kids are still off at college, but so far my husband has been seen by Dr. Aimee Kourus and I was just evaluated and treated this week by Dr. Jamil Olomi. Both dentists were fantastic!
The office is super clean, with strict Covid safety measures in place. All staff members were kind and patient. Our appointments started exactly on time. My dentist was assisted by LaTasha, who did my X-rays and helped document, so the dentist

I've been going to Ponzio Dental for about four years and have only ever had positive experiences, both pre- and post-COVID. The staff is always friendly, and they almost always have me in and out. Truly, they seem to have perfected the way they schedule appointments. And from my experiences, each dental hygienist does a really thorough job when cleaning teeth. They have great customer and dental service, and I trust them with my dental care.

Excellent experience at Ponzio dental today! My husband and I recently moved to Oak Park and were looking for a new dentist. We had heard great things about this practice and it was right around the corner from our house! From scheduling the appointment to the check in process, everything went smoothly (not always a given during these COVID times) and we were in and out on time. Shout out to Mitzy for a gentle but thorough cleaning. Dr. Ponzio was great at explaining everything. Highly recommend!

Since moving to the chicago area, I never established care with a dentist until I started having some tooth pain a few weeks ago. Based on the amazing yelp reviews of this place (and my insurance coverage), I decided to give Ponzio Dental a call. They were able to schedule me a week later, and working with the front desk was quick and simple! As these are special times, they took the necessary precautions to measure my temperature upon arrival and every staff member was wearing a mask! From my very first visit to Ponzio, WOW I was blown away by the service. I admittedly have anxiety about the dentist (so their website, wewelcomecowards.com appealed to me) and hadn't had a cleaning in over a year, but between Alicia (the hygienist) and Dr. Katie Benka (the dentist), I NEVER felt like I was being judged for slacking or like I was being admonished.
Alicia was amazing. She told me exactly what she was going to be doing next before she did it (so there were no surprises) and she was so patient and kind. She got my teeth sparkly clean and the 30 minutes of scraping and cringing

This place is AMAZING. I have always been terrified of the dentist. After experiencing some problems with bleeding and swollen gums I came on yelp and seen all the review of Ponzio Dental. I decided to make an appointment and face my fear. Dr Aimee Kouris is everything and so much more you want in a Dentist. She is kind, profesional, full of positive energy and funny. She put all my worries aside. Explained everything in detail. Gave me a chance to ask questions and was so reassuring that everything will be OK.

The reviews made me aware of this delightful family owned and run business! The entire staff is kind, which is remarkable. I have a talkative and energetic 3rd grader, and they are so generous and interested in her - genuinely. She used to be afraid of the dentist and now she asks when are we going back! I love these professionals for my family because they are thorough, thoughtful, and can handle the wide range of mouth challenges that inevitably arise in my family. The dentists we've worked with here are Dr. Benka and Dr. Kouris (women who are brilliant!). Best in Oak Park!!!

Dr. Ponzio's dad was my first dentist when I was a kid. The family tradition of great dental work and being absolutely friendly and helpful to their patients lives on.

Needed a dentist after chipping a tooth and am fairly new to the area. After seeing all the great reviews on yelp for Ponzio Dental I decided to get in touch. I was able to get in within a few days (wasn't an emergency), and had a great experience. Dr. Kouris was pleasant and did a painless job of fixing the tooth.

Dr Anthony Ponzio...Amazing bedside manners... I have dental anxiety and this is definitely the place to come if you too suffer form this terrible feeling.
I went to see Dr Ponzi for a chipped tooth and he made my experience a good one. He was gentle concerned and accommodating. I could not have been in better hands. Since I have scheduled 2 dental cleanings and today I had my second with Alicia which is amazing.
His front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. They provide you with with a family feeling. I cannot say enough on how happy I am to have found them.

Went for a first visit and regular cleaning last month. My husband and daughter loved it as well. Office staff was very warm and polite.
Had another appointment today for some work that needed to be done. Dr.Benka was awesome. She was gentle and patient. I was not sore even after numbness wore off.

Dr. Benka is incredible. Thorough, friendly and most of all educational. Answers questions and makes genuine conversation with you throughout the exam. She told me exactly what was going on with my teeth along with recommendations for next steps and even gave me names of oral surgeons that she recommends for my procedures. Wonderful experience all together.

This North Ave, in Oak Park practice is the finest in knowledge, certainly the latest in hardware, as behooves
a teaching dentist. What a fabulous place in every aspect. Replacement or new crown
generated on the premises and finalized in less than 1-1/2 hour. The equipment here
