I had reserved a wedding block at the Inn at Middletown for a September 2020 wedding. Over 60 guests were already booked when the pandemic shut everything down; the wedding was rescheduled for September 2021 and luckily, the Inn at Middletown had availability and moved all of our reserved guest rooms to 2021...or so we thought.

Three months before our wedding we received a call that the Inn at Middletown had agreed to rent the entire hotel to Wesleyan University for overflow student housing. They completely cancelled our contract, which we had for nearly two years, and left us scrambling to

Just tried to have a drink at the Tavern at the Armory. We finally had to leave as the employees were screaming and laughing SO loudly in the dinning room. A little more management might help.

We stayed at the Inn as we were in town for a wedding.

Honestly didn't have a ton of interaction with hotel staff other than checking in, etc. That said, nice hotel with clean rooms and would stay here again, if needed.

Main issue was parking, which was a father from the building than usual. It was also a bit difficult to find the lot.

Would recommend to others.

I came here for a Zoom wedding, congrats again to my family member. I was disappointed with how everything was for such a beautiful place, as well as a very important day for my family. We came into stuff being stored in a corner, trays, used clothes, along with stands for the trays. On a 90° day outside there was no air conditioning, so it was very hot and uncomfortable. Plus the carpet was not clean, it needed a good vacuuming. This we did ourselves, while dressed for a wedding ceremony. This is not something we are expecting to do.
I guess they didn't know that he was using the room for

It's as if they are asking me to stay at the Hilton.

The Inn is lovely and convenient to Wes. I just can't get over the lack of customer service and couldn't give a hoot attitude. This is our third time staying here. The first time was only for one night and the room view was not very nice. Knowing this the second trip I requested a nicer room during booking. At check in I reiterated the request for a nicer room. I was told that although full the room we were assigned was nice. I was pretty annoyed to find out it was above the air conditioning system. After calling down and

Nice place with newly done interior features. Nice to have Tavern attached for breakfast. For the right price I would stay here again- $300 is a bit much.

The food is excellent, I have come here a few times only for the food knowing the service is mediocre, something needs to be done about the service, I understand if waitresses are busy with other tables but few times I have been here that was not the case. Your left sitting here waiting while they are in the back on their phones, then when they are attentive you feel very rushed to eat and leave as if we are inconveniencing them. My 4 stars are based upon the food, not the service.

Went in for tea and hot chocolate on a brisk evening, upon hearing this the waitress became moody and short with us. The hot chocolate was very watery and unsatisfying.Being my first time visiting this establishment and receiving such poor service, I would not recommend it to anyone else.

We would highly recommend Inn at Middletown! We recently stayed here for our wedding weekend with our family and wedding party. The Inn was very helpful throughout the hotel block process and when we arrived with a circus of cars, the guys were so incredibly helpful unloading and unpacking the cars. They definitely have experience with weddings! Our suites were a great size for getting ready (1 bride, 4 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and a flower girl) and the lighting was great for the photographer. When we came back at the end of the night, the Inn even had a surprise for us in the fridge, which was

The hotel was lovely and the customer service was 5 star. An easy walk to the Wesleyan campus. Olga, the manager, went above & beyond. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious. However, we stayed in room 119 on Sunday and there were dumpsters being emptied at 3:15 & 4:15 in the morning in the parking lot right next to the room. Very loud and disturbing, especially to a sleeping toddler. I would hope they would prevent things like this from happening.
Next time we will request a room on the 3rd floor on the other side of the hotel.
Otherwise, excellent hotel.

Attending an event there the food buffet upstairs was delicious and the holiday decorations were plentiful and tastefully done. There is a separate bar and restaurant downstairs. Very handsome building in the center of town.

Nice bar. Be ready to pay top dollar for a drink . Small bar and with a hand full of people feels crowded . Bartender was nice . Obviously didnt compensate any drinks given the near 100% tip I was giving him... will never go back but definitely a neat place to check out.

Came here for a weekend stay for a wedding. Upon checking in, service was a little bit slow. However, the room and the amenities were nice. Tim at the front was super helpful and very accommodating. I loved the soaps and the fact that they had blow dryers in the room. It's the little things : )

It was nice that you could walk outside and be right by plenty of restaurant options.

The only major complaint I had were the extremely slow elevators, they were bad....like took minutes to go in between each floor.

We only had a brunch here, I would say it was ok for hotel/inn food.

Very good, I live locally and have been there for my daughter's birthday, Christmas, and bring my stepmom when she comes in from Australia. Service is friendly, food is very good and creative and good for my gluten-free stepmom; and prices are reasonable. Sometimes can be crowded and that slows the service down, but they do take reservations and you can ask ahead of time if a holiday is going to be busy. Parking can be a challenge, on the street, but I always go to a side street that is lower stress.

I loved the location of this Inn. The staff was very friendly and the appearance was very clean. The view from my room was nice. Their was of course a wedding party the day I checked in and my room overlooked the courtyard. It was so loud it woke me up and kept me awake for at least an hour. I had to call the front desk because it was very late. The other guests seem to be the issue. No regard for other guests and making a lot of noise, slamming doors, talking loud, kids running around. The day I checked out I was waiting outside for my togo order and the man at the front desk began having an argument

Stayed here as part of a business trip and generally speaking, was happy with the hotel. I certainly liked the location, being right in downtown Middletown, with access to plenty of shopping and dining. I was here over the summer, so the town was pretty dead as the local college was not in session. Parking is either going to be at the meters (free after 6pm) or about a block and half away behind the movie theater. For the most part, I was always able to find a parking spot near the hotel, except for one night when they closed the streets for a 5k race, and then I was forced to park at their complimentary

Had hot tea only...

Found myself here on a "girl date" wherein I enjoy doing romantic date like things with one of my gal pals, like getting all dressed up in fur and heels and eating out. The doorman was charming an courteous, showing us the various fireplaces and banquet facilities all In full winter holiday splendor, before guiding us to the restaurant.

It's was freezing cold and this dark cozy dining room had a roaring fire. We sat and had a cup of tea and warmed up.

So tucked away, cozy and warm, this would be the perfect location for an affair!

I stay at the Inn frequently for business. I usually sit at the bar for dinner. Very nice people, friendly. A lot of people from the town eat there. Even the beat cop stops in, especially on cold nights. Had a great conversation with him. I as there on the night of the Academy Awards, and the bartender and I watched the red carpet together, checking out the stars. The food is very good. I especially like the chicken soup, which is homemade. You can order from the lunch menu for dinner. It's an easy and comfortable atmosphere, especially for the solo traveler--good food, pleasant company.

At $200 a night, the Inn at Middletown is priced a bit too high for what it is. That said, it is clean, with spacious rooms and comfy beds. The flatscreen TVs had a hundred channels, there was wired internet, and the bathrooms (though a bit old) had nice toiletries and fluffy towels.

I'm not sure why anyone would necessary need to go to Middletown, but if you're here, you could do far worse than the The Inn.
