We are a very unique company to the packaging industry because we are not limited to one material. We can produce packaging on paper, paperboard, rigid paperboard, corrugated, plastic or any combination. Our printing capabilities range from Digital, Flexo, Offset, and Silk screen. SLP Packaging specializes in all kinds of custom folding cartons and retail boxes. We do work for the food industry, publishing, pharmaceutical, toy and games, and many more. Our strengths are working with marketing to create a high impact product for superior performance. Our state-of-the art structural design centers can create test samples to ensure correct sizing, style and strength before production occurs.
Custom rigid boxes are more of a specialty item. They are most easily described as Board game or Candy boxes. They are also used in the publishing business as slipcases, and gift boxes in the retail industry. Rigid boxes are typically wrapped with litho paper (printed or imprinted), specialty paper or even a foil.
With the advent of warehouse stores (Costco, Sam's Club, etc) conventional folding cartons were not strong enough to be stacked as high as the price club format demanded. Corrugated litho laminated boxes and packaging provides protection with a visual impact. In litho laminate, graphics are printed on SBS board, then laminated onto a single face corrugated box.
