Don't. Just don't. I was asked by Valerie the old manager to write the previous review when I first moved in. Valerie lasted a few months before becoming one in a long string of managers over the last 3.5 years. The paint began peeling in the apartment shortly after move in. The hot tub is always broken and once stained a resident's nieces hair. Things in the apartment broke constantly. At one point they were planning on doing apartment inspections on a semi regular basis as if it was a college dorm. Some residents had their apartments entered without notice. Our garage was broken

I just moved into a two bedroom two bath and the place is gorgeous! There's loads of space in the living room, all the cabinets in the kitchen with beautiful appliances and a pantry, a double closet master bedroom, and a nice little patio to boot. My roommates and I were lagging a bit on the application (they absolutely needed a garage, I was telling them we had one, long story short we do) but the manager Cashe was a breeze. She patiently guided us all the way through with what we needed and made sure our papers were correct and signed. 5/5 must rent.

I went in to one of the sister companies in search of a new place to call home. The Manger of that apartment was a joy. But as I was leaving the Manager at the Baywind location "Cashe" came in and told me about a unit at her location. That was perfect! When I say that they took care of me, they really did. Their customer service was FANTASTIC. Even if I don't rent from them these ladies I feel as though I have an extended family!!

Most tenants that lived here , they haven't experienced the move out cost yet...reason why they are happy. John and I have never been late we pay our rent timely since 2016. We have owned homes before in the 800k range and two rental properties. My father owned many properties and was a landlord for many years. We take pride in where we live, if it's rented or owned. My profession is mortgage banking, refinance and purchases, I am a Loan Officer by profession and have been in the industry 30+ years.

I haven’t rented a unit yet, but I wanted to share how wonderful Priscilla has been. I just moved across the country and have been overwhelmed with trying to find housing in a short notice but Priscilla has been so kind, friendly and knowledgeable. Also the units are beautiful and clean, so I suggest checking them out. The pictures don’t do them justice.

We lived at Baywind for 2 and a half years and loved it. We were sad to leave and will miss it so much. Everyone is friendly and kind, they keep everything clean and nice, and the manager of the grounds, Stephanie, was SO kind and helpful. She always responds promptly, treated us like real people rather than just tenants, and has the greatest personality. Thanks Stephanie!

I have lived here for almost 3 years now. I have never renewed a lease since I started renting almost 10 years ago. Baywind is an amazing community to be a part of. The tenants are amazing and close nit and the complex is very clean. For the first 2 years the property manager was sub par and did the minimum but I loved living here so I ignored it. Last year, we obtained a new property manager, Stephanie, Stephanie is a worker bee. She is so easy to get ahold of and she never makes you feel like you are bothering her. She goes above and beyond. I've lived here at Baywind for a year and a half now and I can honestly say I have never been as happy as I am now. The news Property Manager is the difference here. What a hidden gem in Costa Mesa! My husband and I had been apartment hunting for weeks and were getting so discouraged - places were either too expensive, too outdated, too dirty, or too unsafe. Not to mention many good places we came across did not allow dogs.

Total rip off apt complex. I have a friend that has lived there for some time. They constantly raise the rent and lease amounts without warning or reason. They advertise one price then add on for any and all amenities, even those that don't exist. They charge above the advertised renal price for gas and electric which is standard but also for basic maintenence, trash, sewage, yard if you have one ect. The newest increase on the lease is $100 per month for "added fees" for which they do not specify or explain...

Been here for over a year now. This is a great place to live. It is quiet and calm. We are close to the best date night sites, and all the fun kids stuff too! The manager is far and kind. The maintenance keeps things working and the gardener keeps the flowers pretty. I love it here. My boys love the school down the street too!

The new management has begun practicing "self-help evictions" to bully tenants into moving out and locking them out of their apartments, which is totally illegal!!!! Looking to file a class action lawsuit against the property owner and the manager personally for these illegal acts so if you have been a victim of this type of eviction process from these apartments, respond to this post!

I recently moved into Baywind and it has been a wonderful experience. Valerie (manager) and Michael (maintenance) were both super helpful and so nice to work with. Very easy to work with and responsive to any needs.
The location is perfect. I love that it is a smaller sized complex, not too big. The upstairs units have vaulted ceilings which is wonderful. There is surprisingly a lot of storage space for a 1 bedroom apartment. The community is great and welcoming!

I have to talk about Mike and our new Manager. Wow. They are stepping it up big time! Mike is always here working on something on the premises! He's super kind and very helpful. Between him and our new manager the whole complex is getting a huge facelift! Thank you guys! We appreciate it and all your hard work doesn't get unnoticed!

I have lived at Baywind for 5 years and am only moving because I am no longer renting. It's been a wonderful place to call home. It's a small community with a nice pool and jacuzzi centralized so all units are very close. Laundry is on site, and my 2 bedroom was on the 2nd floor so it had vaulted ceilings which made the space feel even larger. The location is very convenient, it takes just a minute to get on the 55, yet it's secluded so there isn't freeway noise. It's very close to grocery stores and restaurants as well.

Update: new manager that came in spring 2017 is very unhelpful, rude, and neglectful. The golden days of this place, like when you could text the old manager David about a problem and he would quickly reply, are over. With the new manager there is the cold, heartless service you would get from most large property management places. She will refer you to the website in an unfriendly manner and also not quickly reply to your needs. I moved after two years due to the awful new management.

My experience at Baywind Apartments has been great!
It is a cute, quant and charming properly that feels like I'm on vacation. It is in the perfect location, close enough to the beach, nightlife and freeways but also far enough to not be in the chaos of the peninsula:) I love that it's super close to Mother's market and 17th street (good shops!)
They seem to hire good property managers here. Dave was nice and helpful. Alia is the new manager and she's been great so far. She seems to work a lot but still takes time to answer my questions when I leave voicemails or text her

I'm sorry to have to update my initial review, but this place has definitely taken a turn for the worse in the past 6 months. When I first moved to Baywind I absolutely loved everything about it: the location is great, you get cool breezes year round, the units are nice (mine was not even updated and I still liked it a lot), and the management was friendly and responsive. However, after the former manager, David, got promoted and moved on to greener pastures, the "honeymoon" at Baywind seems to have ended. While David had been friendly and relatively responsive to inquiries and concerns
