Joe Osterbauer was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended Benilde-St. Margaret's High School, St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and received his law degree in 1990 from the William Mitchell College of Law. While going to law school, Mr. Osterbauer clerked at the Cody Law Firm in St. Paul.
Amanda Furth has represented people with workers' compensation and other personal injuries since 2003. She enjoys helping clients move forward to find the best medical care to help them recover and rehabilitation services to help them get back to work. Amanda graduated from St. Olaf College in 2000 Cum Laude with a double major in Political Science and Hispanic Studies.
Ben joined Osterbauer Law Firm in January of 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Ben spent several years working exclusively in the area of workers' compensation litigation. Ben is a proven trial attorney who has represented hundreds of injured workers and secured tens of millions of dollars of their behalf.
Without question this has been the most trying time of my life, and it's a little weird to think that my attorney got me through it, but you really did! I'm so damn grateful for everything you've done and all the work you've put in. You also probably talked me off the ledge a couple times. I didn't know what to expect going into this.

I would like to say, haven a law firm like Osterbauer was 1and a million. My lawyer Ben Harper was the best. Leading me through the hold experiment of going against corp insurance. I was referred to attorney Ben Harper by a close friend. I had never had any type of legal proceedings in the workmans comp area so it was all new to me. I was a bit hesitant to obtain legal counsel because I didn't want any backlash from my employer. After speaking with Ben he explained the importance of having representation but he was not pushy. Don’t ever use this law firm! Especially Amanda Furth who I wish they wouldn’t have ever put on my case. Long story short I got injured at work and underwent two shoulder rotator cuff surgeries and no settlement was ever negotiated and we ended up losing trial because she failed to get a summary from the surgeon who did my shoulders. So the judge made her ruling off the employer’s doctor summary!
I had two surgeries and didn’t get a dime for my injuries! How do a lawyer mess that up???

I was injured in a car accident in the fall of 2018. because I was also going through a very bitter divorce and struggling with a very deep depression I did not effectively pursue treatment for my injuries. Despite the fact, that I dropped the ball, and that the case became a very minor matter My lawyer at Osterbauer, always took the time to explain to me exactly what was going on, and each and every member of their staff was kind and respectful to me throughout. Been on this case since April 2016 date of injury, originally had ben Harper representing my case took vacations all the time never returned phone calls, argued with owner joe osterbauer, then he referred me to Amanda that works in the firm got trial set for today n it got cancelled, I realize after Ben screwing around n more worried bout his personal life n pushing off court dates and Amanda picking up the pieces, n now this will get pushed out least another 3 months, this has been going on for 2 yrs. this firm is the most disorganized n more worried bout them vs. clients. I really had my doubts

This place defends horrible people that torture and kill innocent dogs just because they had feelings for the dogs owner and the owner did not feel the same. Oh wait this is her father's law firm! This girl tortured this dog and then drowned him in a marsh. What kind of human can do that and then walk on the streets. Horrible
