Here at Stonegate Counseling Associates, our therapists seek to provide you with excellent care that will help bring healing and wholeness to your life. We are a Christian counseling center located in Athens, Georgia that desires to provide loving and gentle gospel-centered counseling while integrating psychological principles.
Joe earned a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, GA. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor who desires to help hurting people with the skills, gifts, and abilities God has given him. He is also a National Board Certified Counselor. He has 35 years experience working with college students and those in ministry to college students.
Phyllis earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists. Phyllis is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and churches understand God's design for human sexuality.
Kim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Georgia. She believes relationships provide unique opportunities for personal growth, and has a passion for working with teens and adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, relational difficulties and women's issues.
Michelle is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling from Liberty University. She has spent over 10 years working with middle school, high school, and college students in camp, team building, and ministry settings. Michelle has a heart for coming alongside those wrestling with relational and spiritual issues, transition, grief, trauma, depression, and anxiety.
