2. In the morning, remove saran wrap, wash with soap and water, apply thin layer of ointment. Be sure to rub the ointment in until it is gone. You will need to wash area at least 2-3 times daily with warm soap and water, rinse, then apply thin layer of ointment. It is very important that you rub the ointment in until it is gone.
TEXAS BODY ART takes a lot of pride in our work and it requires cooperation from our clients in the proper care of your new tattoo or piercing. 1.) Remove bandage after 8 hours and gently wash with antibacterial soap (dial) and pat dry. Apply a very small amount of Hustle Butter or Aquaphor and rub it in. For the first three nights you will want to keep the tattoo covered with saran wrap while sleeping. IF YOU COVER YOUR TATTOO DURING THE DAY AT WORK YOU WILL WANT TO UNWRAP AND LET IT GET AIR AT LEAST EVERY 4 hours.

Please follow our instructions and call us immediately if you have problems. It is widely accepted that anti-bacterial liquid soap used to gently wash the piercing followed by thorough rinsing is suitable for most piercings.

They took my $100 deposit and I did not get my tattoo. The day I was suppose to get it , I was told at the time in store that artist has gone for Covid testing with no further update from store or the artist. I was in town for next few days before going away for few months .
Now I am back so I contacted artist and store at multiple occasions but no response from either .
I am also in retail business so I understand how to treat/ deal with customers. This way there is no way I could survive running my shop.
Very disappointed indeed ...

I came with my daughter to get her nose pierced and she's 16 years old so I had to come and she didn't have her birth certificate but she had her I.d on her and the receptionist was rude and making a scene, she was a girl who had pink hair and needs to be retrain in customer service, she was in the piercing part of Texas Body Art.

(This is from pre-COVID)
I contacted an artist on social media and we set up a consultation. However, when I showed up he seemed confused until an "oh yeah" moment. OK, no problem, people forget.
We briefly talked about a tattoo. He gave me a quote and I put down my deposit. He said we'd figure out a date once the tattoo was designed.
Despite reaching out every few weeks on social media for a couple of months, he ended up blowing me off and never replying. After being blown off, it's clear the artist isn't a good fit for me. I gave up and I'm out my deposit.

I was defeated by the lack of inspiration these "artist" had. If you don't what a stock tattoo off the wall or come on with something to be traced don't bother to go here.
I appreciate their adherence to CDC regulations as a Virologist. However, if you send a link and then immediately holler to call someone in from a car how can you be upset when that potential patrons don't comply? Finally, if you are that serious about face masks being worn appropriately you need to cover your nose too!
If you want a typical tattoo then this is for you but don't forget

If you like being driven away pretty fast then this is the place. Not even 5 mins in the place and I was looking at other shops. Service is Sh*t. Very unfriendly staff. The receptionist was hands down the most useless interaction I've had in my life. Seriously if your working the front desk you should know basic information about prices and very basic questions. Again what's the point of having a person in the front if they're clueless. The artists were to busy to be bothered. I don't understand how they get customers like they do, clearly they don't want them to stick

I went to the piercing shop about a week ago completely desperate as my nose had gotten an irritation bump (because I put a cheap piece of metal in it). I can't remember his name, but the piercer was so patient with all of my concerns and gave me crystal clear instructions on how to treat it. His advice was superb and my nose has made such improvement. I will be back to change my nose ring! Love this place.

I've been deciding on whether or not I should write a review on Texas body art for a couple days now and I've come to the conclusion that I should just so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Ive been here before to get a back tattoo done by tony (nothing huge). The tattoo came out great! I absolutely loved it and his work. So I came back to change out a piercing from next door and I figured if tony had the time I would like to talk to him about this full arm very detailed sleeve that I've been wanting for awhile now. Luckily he had some time and we (very briefly) discussed the

1st experience was a good one. My mom & I got memorable tattoos for our loved ones death. Jake did an awesome job! 2nd experience to bring back my fiancé to get his memorable tattoo, not so much. My fiancé asked if anyone was available to speak about getting his tattoo & the big tall guy said "I'm not available" & turned his back on him like we were bothering him. Then it took a while for the other guy to acknowledge us & ask what we wanted. Customer service is high on our list & it was definitely lacking this time around. We are not going to beg someone to

Stopped in to have an "artist" draw up an idea that I wanted. They half listened to what I wanted and proceeded to tell me it wouldn't work and didn't even try to come up with any ideas that I could do to keep what I wanted. I asked if they could do writing in a certain font and he looked at me like I had 4 heads. Made me feel about 2 inches tall. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Guess if you don't have double sleeves and neck tattoos you're not welcome there. There's plenty of other artists in Houston.

If you want a tattoo go check out this place, but go see TONY BAKER! This guy is super talented and is amazing at what he does! He did a portrait on my forearm and I get so many compliments everyday. It is important to choose a tattoo artist who cares and puts themselves into their work. Tony does just that, I plan on getting a lot more work done and I wouldn't go to anybody else. Trust me when I say this...Tony Baker is so talented. Thanks for my wonderful portrait, I love it!

I've been tatted and pierced before and this is, by far, one of the best experiences I've ever had. They had me sign all of the required consent forms via iPad. At most places, they have you sign papers that have been copied so many times you can't truly read what you're signing. I was able to walk in and get my tat done but I would strongly advise calling ahead and scheduling an appointment. I am super pleased with the tat Tony did for me. I can't wait to go back for my next one.

Christian Sauceda was a pleasure to work with. Not only was he easy to communicate with, he did a better job of seeing the vision I had than other artists I've worked with. He's currently booked through the end of August, so schedule your appointment and start tossing around ideas. You will not be disappointed.

Tattoo turned out great! Even without an appointment, Jake was able to get me in! We went a few rounds with creative differences on what to ink - but in the end we finally saw eye-to-eye and I'm glad we did! Great artist - extremely talented. Will definitely use him for future work!!
The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I didn't really like having MY creativity challenged for something in the end I'M paying for. Not to discount the artist - because it's his work - but it's my body...
Other than that - no complaints!! :-)

Just got my rook piercing from Aaron. Originally I just looked up this place a while back to get a small tattoo and then forgot about it, but earlier today I spontaneously decided to get a piercing and this was the closest place to home.
I'm so glad I randomly decided to come here. Aaron was beyond awesome, even though I didn't say much (which is how I am before a tattoo or piercing) he still did his best to make sure I was at ease and okay.
Out of all the piercings I've ever done, this one was the easiest for me because the process was quick, and simple while still being informative
