We eat out a LOT, go to a LOT of catered events, and are pretty discriminating "foodies." I can say without hesitation, that the meal we were served at our neighbor friends' summer party tonight was the best catered meal we've ever had! If the beautifully presented appetizer trays with fresh veggies and assorted hummus, baba ganoush, olive tapenade, etc., and the passed hors d'oeuvres of ahi tuna poke and stuffed mushrooms weren't fabulous enough, we then sat down to a stunning, tasteful meal. The "wow" factor started with a fresh tomato stuffed with artichoke

My little sister was married a few years back, and I still remember the food at her wedding. For a long time after, friends of our family talked about how much fun the wedding was, but especially how great the food and caterers were!
