Been to rickys before in the past and was good but omg this time we bought a lot of ribs and steaks. The baby back ribs were slimy and smelled like rotten meat. Same for the filet mignon. Had we eaten it we would have ended up in the hospital for sure. After looking at the packaging the date labels are all July 2000. I assume benefit of the doubt and all that the year was an error but to sell thawed out meat from July is gross and they shouldn’t do that. It gets 1 star cause we did get some ny strips and those were fresh and edible. I read in another review response that the scales are certified

It's really inconvenient that prices can't be told over the phone. Every other butchee shop does it . Especially if you live far like I do

They weighed my beef it was 1.82 in their scale. In mine its 1.13 I trust mine because I zeroed it before hand. Either their scale is crooked or.the staff is crooked. Stay away from this place. In response to the reply. I called prior to doing the post I called and I was not told that you trimmed about a pound of fat. I never asked for it to be trimmed. This is the only place I've seen, where your food goes through a back door. Then they give it to you. I've been to different butcher's they give you your order at the counter.

Can't beat the prices on most meat & fish. I love the individually wrapped tilapia sold 10lbs to a box. Shrimp, salmon etc. I go every few months it's like buying wholesale. 👍

I was honestly overwhelmed about this place. I arrived after hearing a couple of friends saying they love this place to buy some good meat. We were able to find parking in the lot and made the line outside to walk in.

Once I did, I was surprised to see how small the place is inside, its basically a two-lane area with the cashier at the end. I was very confused on how to order meat, I got a number but they were not going by those, and then I got one of the meat cutters' attention, I asked about a tomahawk, he weights it and then just jumped into another conversation with another client.

Clean store, very helpful people and the quality of the products are good. We come every Friday to get ribs

This is my favorite true butcher shop to go to. Docking it a half a star just because the website is never updated. Other than that I have never had a complaint about this place.

Bought 100 pounds of chicken and 80 percent of it went bad the next day and they didn't want to do anything about it other than tell me to wash it with cold water to take out the rotten smell.

Ricky's is about as cool as it gets when it comes to Miami butchers. It's been around forever. You can get a great price on prime and choice cuts here, especially if you hit them on sale. We got prime NY strips for $7.99/lb one day. They have other cuts that you won't be able to get at regular supermarkets, meaning both type of cut and size. This is a great place to get good quality chorizo and blood sausage. You can also pick up some essential vegatables, seasonings, and other stuff, but there is not a huge selection.

My family has shopped at Ricky's before, but it was my first time visiting. I accompanied my mom who was buying steaks for a bbq and i took advantage to buy salmon when I saw it at $7.99lb, but I instantly regretted the buy. I am very particular on my fish and i would much rather spend a few extra bucks at Publix. The meats are good for the prices you purchase these. If you're a red meat eater and have a bbq, buy your cuts here. They have some vegetables inside and outside of the store, but again go somewhere else for this. So I ran publix in search of burger patties for the Super Bowl. Of course, I waited till the last minute to do so and discovered they ran out.

Anyways, yelp to the rescue (as always)! I found this cute little butcher shop that probably saved me from being the only host in super bowl history to forget the burgers.

Rickys Meat market by far the best meat store in the miami area. The price and quality of meats from this business is unbeatable. Been going to this location for at least 10 yrs and have always felt like it is a hidden gem for miamians. I always purchase my 10lb bag of boneless chicken breast which usually range between 16 and 20 bucks depending on the sale at that particular time and also all my churrasco which usually goes for 6 to 8 bucks a pound. my only critique of the place would be that they don't sell ground turkey but I guess that's why they have Publix and Winn Dixie for
