Contemporary dance is not a specific dance technique but a combination of ballet, lyrical, modern, jazz, and unique movement sometimes referred to as "dance fusion." We offer three different types of ballet classes: Lyrical Ballet is an interpretive style of ballet. Classical Ballet is traditional and formal.
Pointe is the part of classical ballet. Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by a tapping sound that is created from the metal plates on the bottom of the dancer's shoe. This style of dance increases motor skills and rhythm. Jazz dancing is a fast paced style of dance. We incorporate Lyrical and Contemporary styles into our dance routines when possible for variety.

Services
We offer dance classes in Central Ohio specifically designed for pre-school through Master level students. Our classes are offered in a fun, supportive environment with dances choreographed to contemporary Christian music. Leap of Faith Dance Company was established by Dave and Kelley Haney in 2003.
We moved our studio to a new facility in 2017! We have a spacious lobby with wi-fi and TV viewing systems of the studios. You can watch your dancer in class on the monitor while you relax in our lobby. The 4 studios have new mirrors and state-of-the-art dance floors. Our dance floors are custom built sprung floors giving the correct amount of energy absorption and flexibility for the safety of our dancers.
Our goal is to use the talents we have been blessed with to help children and adults have fun, learn to dance, and understand valuable life lessons through scripture and Christian music. The Christian classes will be based on the word of God, without promoting any individual religious beliefs or specific places of worship.
LOF is a great place for families to pursue the world of dance in a safe, family-friendly environment. When my daughter is there I don't worry about the lyrics of the music she hears or about her wearing inappropriate costumes or make-up. I know the staff will "love all over her" and I am as impressed by the staff's Christian character and role modeling as I am with the dance instruction.
Kelley is a dance teacher and homeschool mom. She and her husband Dave are the proud parents of 5 children, Samantha, Jeffrey, James, Matthew and Miranda. In the "dance world" Kelley is known for her creative choreography, attention to detail and love for children. She prayerfully chooses music and choreography for her classes.

We love this place so much. Leap of Faith teaches so much more than dance and movement. They teach about love and character, how a young lady should carry herself and dress appropriately, and what it means to put God first, valuing what matters most in life. Oh and they teach boys, too :).

We have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Leap of Faith Dance Company. Our daughters both enjoyed the nurturing and loving Creative Movement classes. Our oldest daughter grew to appreciate dance as an art form in Intro to Ballet. Our son has found confidence and a way to share Jesus through the hip-hop classes. The staff is professional, supportive and always helpful. We appreciate the modesty boundaries that are set and up-held by the dancers. We feel beyond blessed to have Leap of Faith in our lives as a family with young, impressionable children.
