A few weeks back I was entertaining out of town guests and I know they enjoy wine. I searched Winston-Salem and provided my guests with information about the wineries in the area, they chose Weathervane Winery.
We had a tasting and selected two bottles to share. I do not drink wine very frequently, but the trip to Weathervane Winery has changed that. My guests thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, they purchased additional bottles to take home with them and I also bought bottles of two of my favorites from the tasting.
The staff was friendly and very helpful, it was a beautiful Fall day to sit outside

We went for a tasting and stayed for a glass. It is very good if you like more sweet wines. They also offered a seasonal wine when we went. You do get to keep the souvenir glass and it isnt too expensive for their tasting/glasses. Even though they had a lot of people there it was still very fast service and the guy serving us was polite. He even joked around with our DD. We had a wonderful time. 3/3 of our group had two or more wines we liked.

It was a sunny spring day to enjoy this small winery near Lexington.
If you like sweet reds or white wines, you will be in the right place! There is a good Pinot Grigio called white table wine that is enjoyable. To get a tasting or buy a bottle remember to bring along your mask in the tasting rm.
Outside there is ample space to sit in the gazebo near the vines or on the patio to listen to live music.
We enjoyed the music on a Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.

Such a cute winery with a wrap around patio and a courtyard so that there is plenty of outside seating so that you can still social distance while being outside. We went on a sunday when they had live music and it was just such a great time. I wouldn't say that the wines were my favorite but they do have a variety so you can definitely find something for everyone's tastes and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

This is an awesome place to relax and let time pass by. It's nestled back in, so the entrance does sneak up on you. They offer dry and sweet wine tastings depending on your preference. You can also buy a glass and sit on their porch or seating area. There are small snacks to buy if you'd like something to go with your wine.There is a small gift shop that offers t-shirts, glasses, etc.

The cabin, Corks Up, was very nice. The perfect spot for a night or weekend romantic getaway. We also did the wine tasting at the winery. The have a good selection of both sweet and dry wines. The sweet wines are very good. The owners were friendly, helpful and very nice. Would definitely recommend the cabins and winery. We will be back.

A must visit for sure. Went here with my woman to do a wine tasting. We both have never done one before but the woman at the counter was extremely pleasent and helpful. Lynn was her name. She was very sweet and knowledgeable about the selection we tried. The wines we tried were of good quality and most I would buy at the store. We did the sweet tasting option by the way. The wine slushy was to die for. Never heard of that before and it sucks that I didn't because it was amazing. The scenery was gorgeous and very quaint. Recommended.

Low key, relaxed vineyard with a group of employees who seem to really enjoy what they do. Personally I'm not a fan of the wines; too sweet or young for my taste. But they bring in a lot of live music which makes for a fun evening or afternoon with friends. They have a beautiful event room and an outdoor patio with seating. I enjoy hanging out with friends in a Friday night or beautiful weekend afternoon.

Here are a million plus one wineries around and less than half of them are any good. At least that's my opinion. Weathervane is a good one and here is why. The wine is good and considering the abundance of styles and possibilities that is saying something. The grounds are nice. There are nicer and more picturesque but Weathervane is nice and easily accessible to the piedmont triad area. The bar is laid out nicely and the staff have always been great. They throw excellent lawn parties with live music too. Well worth visiting and returning to!

This was my first winery I have ever been to! It is located in a rural area which was nice. The drive was peaceful and it's a warm day so it was so relaxing to have the windows down listening to the Khalid Pandora station.
The winery is right off the road and not hard to find. Parking was easy and the place was clean and pretty. Upon entering the the building, we were immediately greeted by an elder gentlemnan who got us started on our tasting. $7.50 each is a great price. I prefer sweet wines while my friend prefers dry. Our now daughter-in-law fell in love with this winery at a local wine tasting event in Raleigh. We decided we'd serve Weathervane Wine at the Meet & Greet and Rehearsal dinner. We couldn't have been more pleased! The service was outstanding ( and I might add, at an early hour)! Coming from out of state, we arrived at the winery a tad bit early. Nonetheless,the help we received in the selection and the amount needed was right on and very well received by our guests. A bottle of Weathervane Winery has now become a family tradition for birthdays and special events.

We went yesterday and everything was lovely! It was my first time visiting this winery. I've purchased their wine before at the Southern Christmas Show. We had a few bottles of the Rooster Red and then a wine slushy. Staff was very nice. You also get to keep the wine glasses they give you!
This winery had live music outside with seating and a few tables inside. They are also dog friendly! They didn't have food but you can bring your own snacks. Great place!
