Misty Creek is located on a 60 acre farm in the gently rolling area of North Carolina known as the Piedmont and just west of Winston-Salem, all within the bounds of the Yadkin Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA), an area specifically recognized by the federal government for producing unique and wonderful wines.
We have 14 acres of vineyards, and our award winning varietal wines include Chardonnay, Traminette, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Chambourcin. We also have some yummy sweet wines, including Misty Rose, Chamberry, Rhapsody in Blueberry and Blackberry Cobbler, all made with real sugar and real fruit extracts.

Services
Barry spent 33 years in the aerospace business, mostly at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, where he retired as a Chief Information Officer. He has made wine since 1969 and knew he could make some really great wines here in North Carolina. In 2001, he planted their first four acres of grapes, with ten more the following year.
Two-time gold medalist, Best of Category and 2015 Winemakers Cup at the 2015 North Carolina State Fair. Highly aromatic and fruity. Spicy with hints of blackberries, pepper, and chocolate embraced in cherry overtones. Known in Australia as Shiraz. Our signature Chambourcin wine made from the French American hybrid.

The wine they sold us was already 11 years old. They bag up the wine and you can't see the label as they do it, so we never thought it would be so old. Tried two bottles at home and they tasted rotten we had to pour it out. We still have two bottles, they have 2008 on the label. Very disappointed! We spent a lot of money here on the wine and it is all bad! We visited in August 2019, the vines looked overgrown and we didn't see any grapes. I think all the wine must be old or maybe they just make enough for tasting and sell old ones. I wish we could get a refund as it was expensive!

Tried 7 of their wines. All were good.
The patio area is nice with decent views. Weather was perfect today with a nice breeze. They could use umbrellas for outside tables. Looks like there's a nice covered area by a pond for picnic. Bring your own food. Sometimes you can hear noise from nearby raceway but otherwise it's a quiet country place. It's a pleasant several mile drive north from highway 40 in scenic countryside.
They sometimes have live music.
