An ECU Savings Account offers our members a great way to save money and it pays out competitive dividends. Our certificates of deposit allow you to earn a higher interest rate when you invest an amount of money for a fixed period of time. An array of terms are available from three to 60 months, and Earthmover regularly offers certificate specials at great rates. The minimum amount to deposit into an Earthmover Certificate is $500, and a penalty does exist for early withdrawal.
Earthmover's Money Market can put more cash in your wallet. If you typically write only three checks a month, here's a way to earn even more interest on your checking account! You can open a Money Market Account, in addition to a regular checking account, to earn higher yields without tying up your funds.
An Individual Retirement Account (IRA) is a tax deferred savings tool that can help you prepare for your retirement while enjoying the tax benefits today. I have been a member of Earth Movers credit union for over 13 years. I called and informed the visa card department that I was moving to a temporary address and that I needed my mail to come to this address, I sent an uploaded picture to them of the USPS letter showing the address changed. Earthmovers credit union continued to send my mail to my old address. I thought I lost my card, so the good thing is that they won't allow any charges to take place, however the only way to make a payment is by the automated customer service where you have to pay $10. I have been with this company for 5 years plus and I can't wait to end my car loan! The beginning loan process is amazing until they tell you if you make all your payments on time you won't need a co-signer the next time around. The next time came and I still needed a co signer! It's now 3 years later with no missed payment history until recently, first time ever! No covid relief was offered, there is a 3rd party collection agency that calls you and does NOT state the reason they are calling or who they are calling in regards to IF they leave a voicemail. Costumer service is trash, i really needed to use my card to put gas in my car, I called the customer service hotline and nobody answered me. It kept saying my card was expired but it wasn't. So I couldn't put gas in my car and I had to leave it behind. They literally do not have 24 hour customer service. If they say they do, they don't answer when I called. I literally called several numbers to at least talk to a live representative and no luck, not even the "credit card fraud" people couldn't help me out. What I don’t understand is when I go inside a bank/credtunion to establish new account or whatever I need, the information given should be correct and all done that day. My other biggest problem is there is no customer service after a certain hour, but they have help for online banking reset passwords. The customer service inside the branch is ok, but a lot of them are very uninformed, I cant take it no more, I’m dropping them.

Want to give a shout out to Stephanie Alcala. She just helped my son secure a 25,000 car loan!
She also helped my daughter a few years back as we found a beautiful Nissan Rogue used with lower mileage. Too bad it was at the Mercedes Benz Dealership. The Finance people were not helpful or interested in giving us financing. The wanted to charge 12.62 interest.
I said no. We went back to Earthmovers where they know us and Stephanie helped us. We walked into that dealership with a check in hand and a 4.4 % rate.

We had done business with Earthmover for more than 10 years with no issues (auto loans, CDs, checking and savings accounts and credit cards). Like millions of Americans, my family was heavily affected by the recession of the early 2000's. I was unemployed for more than 3 years. After months of trying to negotiate with various creditors for reduced payments, lower interest rates or temporary suspension of payments, we were forced to file bankruptcy. I had a credit card with Earthmover which was part of the bankruptcy. That means I was released from it and they couldn't collect the debt

Beware those of you who are contemplating Earthmovers, go to a bank/CU that offers FREE bill pay! I did not realize that adding payees to my bill pay would constitute using it. I never paid a bill, I just added payees just in case. They claim to offer free 90 days but fail to tell you adding just the payees will trigger the 90 days if you use the service or not. This place is a nickel and dime shop. I also was charged repeatedly for paper statements after I told them I did not need the paper statements. Oh by the way, I never got the paper statements either. Nice Credit Union, huh? Four months

I have been working with Earthmover almost 10 years now. It started as a business transaction and slowly moved into my personal life and reccomendations. I Opened an account at the Farnsworth branch, the lady that opened the account for me acted as if she did not want to be at work. She was VERY rude and was not up beat. She did not explain anything to me. I had to go to another branch to get them to explain there services. I would never go back to the Farnsworth branch. I love the North aurora and the orchard rd branch. I would of closed the account if my grandma did not convince me to have an account with earth movers.

Love them! Refinanced from Huntington national bank to Earthmover to get a lower interest rate on a truck loan. Earthmover came highly recommended from a friend who has been using them for years. I was blown away by their customer service, particularly Katie Shores, Oswego, IL. I didn't even think customer service like this existed anymore. She went above and beyond to help with something Huntington screwed up to help me recover money from a check Huntington should not have cashed.
