My son has been here for 9 months and we couldn't ask for more caring and inspirational sensei's. Sensei provides structure and gives them something to look forward to. The students look up to him. They receive real-life training and can't wait to get to their next belt. Breaking the board is the icing on the cake for them. My son has learned confidence and coordination. I couldn't ask for better.

Been bringing my son for 8 months and he always looks forward to class. Sensei Michael is passionate about his students and is someone they want to look up to. They teach real techniques and self-defense. I'm happy we've found Claycomb Academy. They treat you like family. We've found home. We've made good friendships here and my child's confidence level has improved as well as his coordination skills. Sensei brings real-life skill to the dojo and they kids love it!

So I have been training at Claycomb Academy of Martial Arts for a year now and not a day goes by that I’m not grateful for being apart of this dojo! I like that the classes are small enough that you get lots of attention from the Sensei’s and Shihan, the dojo itself is clean, and the fact that we work with pads and gloves on non Gi days (T+Th) makes it an awesome workout while training! There are traditional days (M+W) as well in which we wear our Gi’s and rep our belts when the class focuses more on fundamentals and kata which are great for really fine tuning your techniques!

The hours are great for the adult class. I really love that we can come 30 minutes before class starts to warm up and practice our moves on our own or with the assistance of those in my class. The self defense techniques are what got me hooked! And seeing how much of a work out I received was rewarding and also addicting. I especially love the environment, energy and people within the Claycomb dojo family!!

My son has been coming to this academy for almost 4 years, and it’s so awesome! My son was diagnosed with ADHD and the Senseis and Shihan are so patient with him and never give up on him. My son had gotten stronger and more confident, his focus has also improved so much and loves coming to class all the time! Thank you Claycomb academy for all your sacrifices and love for our little ones as well as the adults!

I’ve recently joined this place and I have loved it ever since. The atmosphere is amazing here, Claycomb truly cares about each and every one of his students and really gets them focused on their training. I have felt stronger and more focused on my techniques every time I leave a session, and have felt I am really learning. The people here are all carefully chosen and each of them are some of the coolest and most supportive people I’ve met. New people won’t feel left out, we will all welcome you to the family. If your interested in studying karate, I highly recommend this place and I’m

As a parent, you want to make sure your kids are always in the right environment and surrounded by positive people no matter how old they are. We toured several studios and dojos, listening to their sales pitch, and left feeling like they were only interested in another tuition coming through their door. Decided to give this place a try after driving by and I’m so glad we did! We instantly felt welcomed by Shihan Claycomb and that we had finally found the right place. My son absolutely loves going here and is developing a new passion and dedication while learning traditional principals and new

After many years of being here, my outlook on this dojo has only gotten better. Thank you Claycomb Academy of Martial Arts for continuing to provide me a safe and welcome space to train in.
As a black belt my self with previous experience, it's hard to come by dojos that teach applicable and life-saving training, while remaining professional and helpful, though CKA has all of that!
Especially as a female, this place has become my safe haven. I do not feel intimidated, like I would feel in a typical gym or mma studio. This dojo prides itself in teaching traditional Shotokan karate, but

This dojo is amazing. My father and I visited many dojos before and this one has to be the best. Young or old you will be welcomed and treated like family the second you step in. Everyone is treated like family. The style is shotokan (from okinawa) but the style is adjusted so that one can use karate in the real world. One learns easily with focus and determination. Women i highly recommend you go here because it is a great skill to learn and here we learn many ways to defend ourselves. Shihan Joseph is extremely knowledgeable and pushes his students to be the best they can be. You really wont

I am so thankful and blessed to have found this dojo for our son, we were and are currently struggling with his behavior, focus and attitude in general. Our son was recently diagnosed with ADHD and Karate has helped so so much with the process of keeping him on track. Shihan Joseph, Sensei Michael and Sensei Xena have been so amazing since day one with all their knowledge and love for everyone in the dojo! I highly recommend this dojo for any child over the age of 6 and they have classes for adults too!

I was looking for an adult karate class and after reading up on CKA I decided to give this dojo a try! As a mom of a toddler and 8 month old getting out of the house or finding time to invest in learning something new is challenging. So I was immediately interested with the 8pm class that CKA offered. After contacting the Dojo via web I received a phone call from the head instructor Joseph pretty quickly. I was so impressed with his vibe and how he described this Dojo and its values that I ended up coming down the next day to sign up for one of the Dojo's specials!

I must say this has got to be the best dojo around. I have been searching for a place to put my son in and I am proud to say that I have found one. He looks forward to going to his classes and he absolutely loves his Senpais (Xena and Michael). I love how this dojo has taught my son confidence, discipline, attentiveness, respect, and so much more. My son has only been attending for 3 months and I can definitely say attending has definitely made a positive impact on him. The owner Joseph is awesome as well. Very family oriented place. Go check them out! You won't regret!

This is by far the best training i have had. Coming from a Taekwondo background and kungfu i must say best training so far. You learn techniques, kata to real life scenario self defense fighting. I highly recommend Claycomb Karate to the people who would like to live and be a traditional Karate-ka. OSS

Doing work. It's In The wee hours of the night that the work begins. So during the day light hours classes can run smoothly. Quality that shows. Proof is in the pudding. Don't take it from me just grab a spoon and dig in. Dig deep because this place will test your faith. It will make you doubt your ability and push you to your absolute limits. That's where character is built. And character is what makes black belts. Take it from one.

When I was thinking about putting my son into karate i called and spoke to Joseph and he was very helpful and informative. He answered all questions I had. I signed my son up for the 3 weeks for $39. After the first class I knew right away we would sign him up. He's done really well and he loves Xena and Michael. Thanks again claycomb for making karate so much fun for my son. I would highly recommend them.

What I loved most is you actually have to earn your way up and it's not all about money.. My daughter looks forward to her days to train and that's awesome!

My kids have been attending this Dojo for over two years. They have attended other Dojos in the past, but this by far is the cleanest and most professional experience that they have had. It truly has a family feel to it! My kids always look forward to attending classes. I don't like to bash other Dojos, but this one is worth the investment. The fundamentals and additional classes make this location an ideal place to grow! We drive out from Rancho Cucamonga for a reason. Sensei Joseph and his team are the main reason that we continue to attend!
Check out their trial/intro classes, you will

I've been training here at the Academy of Martial Arts for a few months now. Not only have I lost weight since I started (about 15lbs), but I am starting to feel myself getting stronger. The time spent in each class gives me a tremendous workout while learning self defense techniques that are based on traditional Shotokan, but with a more modern approach to real life practical application and defense. On Saturdays traditional Kata classes are taught.
The Dojo is very clean, colorful, and attractive. It is well stocked with equipment such as heavy bags, pads, and gear. There is an assortment
