OK, we know this is really corny, but this statement truly represents our approach to dentistry. Certainly, we can fill a cavity, but we hope to address your overall well-being, all in a fun, relaxed environment to reduce your stress and to provide you with the best dental experience possible. Your first visit to our practice usually involves a comprehensive examination performed by one of our dentists.
Jay loves what he does and it shows. Knowledgeable. Compassionate. Funny. Sports enthusiast. Don't let his exuberance and casual demeanor fool you - Jay Epstein is an incredibly good dentist. Jay graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA with a B.A. in Chemistry.
Like his father, Jay chose to further his education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he graduated cum laude, was selected for the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental honor society, and received special recognition for his clinical excellence in oral and maxillofacial surgery.In 1984, after completing a one year general practice residency in Hartford, CT, Jay joined the practice of Dr. Irving Garber.

Cheryl's operatory tends to be loud. Extremely loud. Laughter pours from her room as patients receive amazing cleanings in a truly fun atmosphere. Cheryl has worked for the practice for almost 30 years - while in high school she worked as an assistant for Dr. Garber, and then after graduation from Middlesex Community College's Dental Hygiene program, she re-joined the practice as a hygienist.
Carol has been Jay's dental assistant for almost 18 years and loves her work. A graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical High School's Dental Assisting program, this "people person" seems to be friends with most of the population of Lynn and Nahant. She enjoys "running into" our patients out of the office and finding out what is happening in their lives between appointments.
Our practice seeks to provide our patients with high quality dental care in a relaxed, fun-loving setting. We utilize state-of-the art technology to provide comfortable - and safe - exams, and to generate detailed information used to better evaluate your dental health. Several years ago, we began using digital X-rays, imaging technology that makes x-rays safer, faster and more precise.

As a new patient, Dr. Epstein and his assistant Carol were unbelievable. I just can’t say enough about how good it went. I’ve been to several Dentists over the years but I’ll never go anywhere else again. He did such excellent work on a bad cavity/broken tooth, with such nice and personable staff, I can easily say he’s the best Dentist I’ve ever been to. I’ll be going to Dr. Epstein from here on out. Great people, great work. Thanks to everyone in the office.

Jay is an amazing dentist! He’s provides fast, painless, and efficient treatment. Ive tried many different dentists and Dr. jay Epstein and his office staff are the only ones who ever made me feel right at home. Like I am family. Carol is amazing as well! Worth flying in for! I have lived in Texas for 20 years and still fly back with my daughters twice a year for our dental appointments. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. I tried a dentist in Texas but much prefer the friendliness of the staff (office, hygienists, and dentists) and flexibility and availability of appointments at Dr. Epstein’s practice. My daughters have never had any hesitation coming to the dentist. I highly recommend Joy for a hygienist - gentle yet thorough!!!

My husband and I go to Dr. Paula Wrenn-she is amazing. Patient, thoughtful, kind, and such a great dentist. The whole team made me feel comfortable after I let them know I had some dental phobia. In fact, they made it a pleasure to be there. Never thought I'd equate the dentist with positivity, make an appointment and be a convert like me.

My mom and I have been using Jay Epstein and Paula Wrenn as our dentists for years. Even though we have moved farther away, the care has always been so good that it is worth the trip to continue having then as our dentists. Not only are they great at their practices, but also in making patients feel very comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a dentist.

Four years of going to Dr. Joseph and my teeth are still flawless. She is the best around. In addition to keeping my smile healthy they have great whitening options, way better than those other guys and results last. The whole the crew at Dr. Jay Epstein and Co. is the best. While working in Stop & Shop years ago I took an informal survey asking for recommendations for a local dentist. I only heard over and over again, the office of Jay Epstein and particularly Dr. Emily Joseph. Now 5 years of twice a year prevention visits and 3 reasonable priced crowns it is time for me to acknowledge Dr. Epstein staff caring service. The cleaning I just received was equal to the high priced "scaling" I paid for 6 years ago.

I had a dentist I really liked but they didn't take my insurance. I eventually got sick of paying out of pocket and stopped going there. I found a couple of dental offices but it was not the same. So I stopped going and didn't look for a long time. Until we bought a house in Lynn and decided we should try to find a new dentist. My wife found dr Epstein's office, had her first appointment and raved about everyone there when she got home. I was a bit skeptical but then had my appointment. As far as dentists go they are top notch. I've had lots of dental work done in my life (much of which started when I caught a baseball bat with my mouth many years ago), but Dr. Joseph at this practice has always taken care of my dental needs. From bonding, to whitening, and the semi-annual cleanings, I've never had a bad experience. Dr. Joseph is enthusiastic and had a great chair-side manner. The staff and hygienists are also phenomenal. The good: the office environment is pretty casual and relaxing and the hygienists are very friendly and usually try to do a thorough job. Dr. Epstein himself was unfortunately never my dentist, but the few times he looked at my teeth, he was always very nice and came across as competent and polite.
The bad: every now and then, they will call and ask you to change your appointment in order to help out somebody else. This is fine and understandable. However, this past winter, after agreeing to change my appointment, my new appointment

I just went here, literally got back five minutes ago. He was wonderful. I was a little apprehensive about his youthful, exuberant character, but I think that was because I am so used to being around dried-out dentists. He really went above and beyond. He explained things to me that nobody else would care about (e.g., how my teeth formed as a child that cause a deviation in my teeth that he noticed).
