The Alumni and Friends of Bellaire High School have just awarded scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year. Scholarships are based on academic achievement, grade point average, class rank, and community involvement. Another annual scholarship is in memory of Sherry Senior, who taught Math at Bellaire High School.
This year's recipient of Mrs. Senior's scholarship Peyton Richardson, who plans to attend Notre Dame. The AFBHS also awarded a Faculty of the Year Award to Kay Kubena, Math Dept. Chair, PAP Pre-Cal & AP Statisitics Teacher and the Outstanding Staff Award to Marta Flores de Gomez, Head Custodian. Each of these received a $500 award.
