After 11 years I must say that the Fyfe apartments have lost what I loved about this building. The manager could care less about who moves in, when, what they need, or anything about any resident in this building. The building manager used to live in the building and that made a HUGE difference. Those of us left still care deeply but it's kind of sad to see the owner not care about the residents

If you need reasonable priced rent with a stellar location in Downtown Detroit, don't look any further!
PROS
1. Price is lowest among neighboring apartments (going up though). Detroit City, Kales, Riverfront, Lofts at Merchant, etc. They include Heat and Water which is great. The only bill you have is electric and no matter how much power you use, it is ALWAYS a small bill.
2. Walls are very thick. HUGE plus.
3. Location - Walk to tigers games and lions games. Can't ask for anything more in that regard.
4. Floors 12-14 are the only ones to have updated carpeting and paint

I never got a chance to live here because the management is unprofessional. I left two emails and a phone call and never got a response back to making an appointment to even seeing the apartment. I went directly there and she told me that she was in meetings and to leave a message... Never got a reply back. They need to get better people to answer the phones and emails so they can get people in there . They really do look like nice apartments.

I don't understand how Fyfe rents as cheaply as they do considering their prime location - on the corner of Woodward and Adams, smack across the street from Comerica Park, and above the Dirty Trick bar (formerly Hard Luck, and before that it was Proof). The windows overlook woodward giving residents the best bird's eye view for the Thanksgiving Day parade. not to mention being in the center of it all for all Tigers games, concerts, opening day, and other downtown events.
I haven't lived here personally but had a close friend who was moving in here and was along for every step

Truthfully what more could you ask for, let alone the location. Right in the middle of everything Downtown has to offer.
