Hello, my name Is Shawn Risko, owner of RISKULA ART GLASS. We are located in Bay Area, CA but are capable of doing work through out the world. Riskula Art Glass was created in 2006 but I've been working with glass art for over 25 years. I apprenticed under Gordon Huether and then with Ray Centanni where I learned a lot of my skills.
We specialize in custom stained glass, stained glass restoration, glass repairs, installation, fine art, Mirrors, glass etching, cabinet glass, shower doors/wall enclosure, plus much more. Whatever we can design, we can create. I have knowledge of wood work and I also welded for Caterpillar Tractor CO, prior to starting Riskula Art Glass.

We used Zinc to re-build these panels. Zinc is a tough metal and not easy to cut. We had to use a saw to cut each piece of zinc. Each panel contains 94 pieces of glass. This photo shows the numbering of glass pieces and use of tape to hold everything tight together. The border was held together with nails temporarily.
We love our home and our animals. Right now our life is basically glass and our home and that's ok. Amy works another fulltime job in the financial world and assists with glass building/business side when she can. She also is an MS fighter. Glass is Shawn's full time job. Whether he is building windows, speaking with clients or laying out the next job, his days are about glass and our clients.
Etched/carved glass can have different stages of "peels" depending on how much depth you want your glass to have. If you want layers over lapping each other, multiple peels are required in the sand blasting booth to achieve that look. The sandblasted look is often used in bathrooms on showers and in kitchens on cabninets.
