Steve gave me a great quote compared to two other shops that I approached for the shiny bits of my 1968 Volvo P1800. He had a backlog of work and it took him a few months to complete the job but he'd told me that to start. When I arrived to pick up the chrome he pointed out two pieces that wouldn't take the chroming. He refunded me for work he tried to do but was not able to accomplish. That's the right attitude. I'll go back if I need more work done.

These people are amazing at what they do. I needed and midcentury modern Lane Furniture swivel bar base chrome sand they did a FABULOUS job. The owner explained how it’s a multistage prices using copper, nickel, and then chrome, buffing carefully between each step. My tulip base wasn’t even originally chrome - it was black paint which was partly peeled but impossible for me to further remove so the surface wasn’t even stable of smooth.
So happy with their work and both the owner and the lady who work upfront could be kinder. It’s also an easy in and out in Lawrence with plenty of parking

American Electroplating Company did an incredible job! They were professional, gave us a reasonable price, quick turn around time and the outdated brass parts we had were sprayed, shined and polished to look brand new.
The parts on our whirlpool were no longer available for purchase so this was our alternative. We were concerned that since there were so many small parts that screws and small parts would be lost. We are happy to report that each piece was wrapped with care and not one screw was missing! Happy to state that we highly recommend AEC!
