Services
Gracie Jiu Jitsu teaches children the skills to counter aggression with a calm and confident demeanor. Our students will learn how to identify potential dangers to keep themselves safe from harm. Our students are taught Gracie Jiu Jitsu techniques in a safe, friendly, calm atmosphere. We believe that learning and instruction should be done in a disciplined atmosphere with appropriate room for fun.
In order to have good structure, you first must have a solid foundation. Beginner students will learn the basics and fundamental techniques of Gracie Jiu Jitsu and Self Defense. These standing and ground techniques will heighten awareness of your surroundings and enhance your capacity to identify and withdraw from possible threatening situations.
Our Advanced Gracie Jiu Jitsu program is where you will develop and refine your techniques and skills through drilling, specific exercises and live, supervised Jiu Jitsu training. As you move forward in the program, you will not only learn which techniques work best for your body type, but also where you have difficulties so that you may isolate those areas and improve more rapidly.
Our Women's Jiu Jitsu class is structured so that we can address situations specific to women's training and outside threatening situations. An empowered mind set and de-escalation tactics as well as technical aspects of Gracie Jiu Jitsu will allow our female students to develop a well rounded self defense skill set in a calm, non threatening atmosphere.
Have you ever wanted to start a sport but didn't want to get caught up with those dang whipper snappers? Did you used to compete in athletics at a high level though took a short, 10-20 year hiatus? Afraid of getting injured because your body just doesn't do what it used to? Here is your chance to start something new in an environment built just for the seasoned athlete.

Started bringing my 5 year old first because I wanted him to get some energy out and now he loves it. Then I joined myself to break up the gym routine and got the best workout of my life! I lost 10 pound in the first 2 weeks after joining! Staff is really friendly and great with kids. You don't need anything, just walk in and participate. First 2 weeks were free! Highly recommend this spot!

Ataraxis BJJ brings high level instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to Ambler / Upper Dublin, PA. Randy & Laura Aiken run an academy with a great vibe , high attention to detail, small class sizes and one of the cleanest BJJ schools you will ever train at.
Each student gets individual attention in an environment that helps them learn the time tested techniques and principles of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. Highly recommended!

I’ve trained at 3 academy’s due to moving and Ataraxis is an amazing school with very knowledgeable instructors. Egos are checked at the door and everyone is there to train hard and have fun doing it. If you’re looking for self defense, sport, or just an amazing workout then Ataraxis is it. It’s for all ages.

Great local BJJ studio, with instructors who genuinely care about individual student’s skill development in any and all areas of the sport. No matter what you want to gain from BJJ— Randy and his staff can help you out. The vibes at the studio are much more relaxed than other places, so even if your totally new to BJJ don’t be afraid to stop by for a class!!!

My son has been training here for over a year and I wouldn’t think of taking him anywhere else. Randy and Laura are great with kids and know their stuff. If you want to give your child what he or she needs to protect themselves in these tumultuous times, sign them up at Ataraxis BJJ today!

Coach Randy and Laura have created a fantastic atmosphere at Atraxis with top notch training in a stress-free environment. Whether you are looking to compete, learn self defense or just get in better shape, there is something for everyone at this school. I especially appreciate the cleanliness of the school/mats. As a father of two young children (5 yo) who also train at Ataraxis, both coaches do a great job of introducing the fundamentals of jiu jitsu/self defense/discipline while always keeping it fun for the kids. I recommend Ataraxis and Coach Randy and Coach Laura without reservation.

I have known and trained with Randy for years. I can honestly say that one of his best qualities is he won't let you give up on yourself, he is down to earth and outgoing. At the same time he is an outstanding instructor of jiu jitsu and can break down moves to the most basic level without skipping even the smallest detail. I can say from experience that training with Randy helped get me through some of my hardest times. When you train with Randy you will not only be gaining an instructor but also a great friend.

I’ve been training with Randy since February of this year. His classes are always fun and challenging. If you’re a beginner he’s excellent at approaching things with a “ beginners mind”. He also has plenty to challenge more advanced students.
My 12 year old daughter recently started training at Ataraxis as well. She has taken both the beginner class with Randy and the “women’s only” classes with Laura and has had a lot of fun.
One definite positive note is how Randy prides himself in how clean his facility is.
Wether your looking to have fun with the sport of ju jitsu, want to
