Childhood difficulties can significantly impact a child's social skills, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, school functioning, and family functioning. These issues, if not addressed, can progress into larger problems as the child ages.
Services
We provide evaluations and counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. A wide variety of mental health approaches are available, including evaluation and assessment services.

Our psychologists, clinical social workers, and mental health counselors have extensive experience with various emotional difficulties, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, eating disorders, family conflict, parenting challenges, and so much more!
Having a therapy dog or cat present during counseling sessions can be very relaxing and comforting. Simply petting an animal is proven to reduce human stress levels and increase positive emotion. For children who may be nervous about attending therapy, the presence of a therapy animal can make the experience positive and fun.
We also provide treatment for depression, divorce, learning disabilities, social skill deficits, and trauma (physical, emotional, and sexual). Childhood difficulties can significantly impact a child's social skills, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, school functioning, and family functioning.
ECS Psychological Services, P.C. offers psychological evaluations designed to assist individuals, parents, educators, and outpatient clinicians in focusing treatment interventions to the individual's specific needs. The goal of a psychological evaluation is to collect information about an individual using a variety of tests and measures in order to gain a better understanding of their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral profile and functioning.
Military members and their families bring with them unmeasurable strengths and assets. They also face significant challenges when it comes to their duties and responsibilities to their country. At times, these experiences and demands are more than any one person or family can manage alone and without professional support.

Clearly a good therapy place when they charge you 70 dollars for a missed appointment when you get called into work that day, congratulations on being a therapy place you succeeded in only adding more stress.

Said they would help and take on my autistic son...then never returned my phone calls and blew us off after all of the paperwork and video conference.

Josh was an amazing therapist who helped me make the transition from working in corporate America and moving into retirement; all while we were in pandemic lockdown. We focused on other trauma-based issues as well.
I was heard. I received empathy and compassion. I was provided with tools to reframe unhealthy ways of thinking and processing situations. I have been singing his praises to my family and others.
2020 was a blessed year because of the benefits derived from working with Josh. Retirement is glorious as well.

My daughter started seeing Melanie at this practice in December 2020. My daughter has crippling anxiety and I was hoping she could help.
One of the appt we had to cancel right before because she was refusing to meet her online, crying and so upset. I did call and tell Melanie this... and that she was struggling more. She said she would get her back in ASAP. After 3 weeks of emails and phone calls to her she finally emailed me back Apologizing saying she had some stuff going on and would get her in. I have not heard from her since.
