I know it is hard to find a good inspector and it is important to know about the inspector. My name is Matthew Reed, and I am a husband and father to a wonderful family. I am a Certified Professional Inspector located in Rochester NH. I know buying a home can be an exciting, and scary time. My goal is to be the best inspector I can and to work with you and your real estate agent and educate you about your home, or potential home.
I have worked in the plumbing and HVAC field, built and renovated homes. Worked doing building maintenance and repairs. I am a homeowner with the knowledge and know-how to guide you through the home inspection process. I am an NH Licensed Inspectors and am a Certified Professional Inspector and member of InterNACHI, The world's largest organization of certified home inspectors.
WatchDog inspectors service areas include All of Maine and NH, We are located in Rochester NH and generally inspect homes in the Seacoast Area. I am a member of Internachi, and am required to maintain high standards of practice as well as code of ethics. You can rest assured that any inspector with the an internachi certification on top of their state certification has the knowledge and know how to perform a high quality inspection.

Matt recently inspected a home for us that we are in the process of purchasing. It is a LARGE house and in-law apartment and Matt went through the property with a fine toothed comb. He crawled, climbed, and braved a dozen rescue dogs to inspect this home from roof to foundation. His recommendations were well explained and thorough. Matthew was amazing, seriously. I called him on a Saturday and explained my situation to him and he made time to come out and do the inspection the next day! I contacted 4 different places and most of them got back to me hours later with prices that made my jaw drop. Whatchdog is AFFORDABLE, reliable, and accommodating to the needs of others. I am really glad that Matthew was the inspector for my potential home. He was very approachable, down to earth, and was patient and not condescending with someone (me!) that clearly knows nothing about the details of construction or what to keep an eye out for. I wasn't sure how necessary an inspection would be on a new construction home, but it was extremely useful! The last minute closing details had me saturated with information, I couldn't see and assess the house objectively - and it's hard to judge if an issue is more substantive or minor. Matt pointed things out to us we wouldn't have noticed until later. Most were minor, but a handful were things that really needed to be addressed by the builder, who quickly fixed the items noted. We met with Matthew Reed, yesterday. He was early for the appt. and was very professional while explaining in detail how he was going to perform the inspection and what he'd be looking for. He answered all questions and was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the inspection. In only 12 hours we had our report and an offer to call any time with any questions and a thank you for our business. He took a lot of pictures and provided us with a binder for our report's safe-keeping. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a very reasonably priced home inspection they can depend on.
