Dave did my inspection with a fairly clean report. One month after moving in we discovered a pile of bat droppings the size of a frisbee. Inspectors aren't supposed to be experts in pest control but this was a blaring sign that went unreported, the exterminator emphasized this oversight. When I reached out to Dave for some sort of a refund (we now have to pay for bat removal) he told me I should have attended the inspection, I guess to catch the problem myself, and (word for word) "shame on me" for writing to request the refund.

Dave was phenomenal. You can tell he loves what he does. We purchased a home over 100 years old and Dave took the time to explain everything from building at the time to current builds. When we had questions he was patient and answered them thoroughly. He had our inspection report back to us the same day which helped us continue our home purchase quickly. I will definitely use him again if/when I purchase a new home.

David was great to work with. Encouraged that we followed along during the inspection and took the time to explain everything he was checking to my wife and I and some family members we brought along. Did not rush or look over anything. Would most certainly recommend A Closer Look Home Inspection to anyone who is buying or looking for a pre-listing inspection.
