I knew almost immediately NESF was the right gym for me. One of the best things about this place is the amount of personal interaction you get with the head coaches. Both Dave and Kirik deliver detailed, technical instruction based on years of experience in MMA. They are both extremely knowledgeable, patient instructors and they are in general just really fun to be around and learn from. I’ve never hesitated to ask them for clarification or for suggestions on how to improve.
Another thing I sincerely love about NESF is the super welcoming and down to earth atmosphere. Everyone is willing to

I am so grateful to have found NESF! I continue to enjoy private lessons as well as the group classes. I have had classes/lessons with the lead instructor, Dave, who is an amazing, patient, and skilled teacher. As a woman, I was initially concerned about how the dynamics may be in the gym. But my worries were unnecessary! It's a great, welcoming, all-inclusive environment that has always made me feel comfortable. In addition to the MMA classes it is also a great place to learn self-defense.

I've been to a lot of gyms and none of them feel like home like NESF does. Dave creates a friendly yet serious atmosphere and manages to keep serious athletes in the mix with regular people.
It's an awesome and humbling experience to be a student of one of the OGs.
If you're serious about martial arts or fitness, NESF is the best spot in the area.

I love this place more than words could ever describe. It is the perfect environment to learn as a beginner or someone who is more experienced, and the instructors and people who attend classes are all wonderful. Everybody is is so nice, and non-judgmental so you really feel very comfortable no matter your skill level. I love the variety in styles (wrestling, MMA, standup, jiu jitsu) so there is really something for everybody.
I have seen so much personal growth in myself since starting at NESF. It is nice going to a gym that actually really cares about your personal development. If you have a

I'd never practiced any kind of martial arts before and this was the perfect place to start. Dave, the main coach, is an extremely patient and detailed instructor and I was immediately hooked. I've come a long way in the past year and both the instruction and sense of community in the gym have kept me coming back without question.
