Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art practiced for self development and defense. The word Aikido means "the way of harmony with ki." Ki is hard to translate, but can be understood as breath power, spirit or universal life force. Morihei Ueshiba, or Osensei (great teacher) created Aikido in the early 1940s.

Great community. led by fantastic teachers. Freedgood and Levitt sensei are highly skilled teachers of the adult classes and Lapalme Sensei does a great job leading the kids classes. The dojo is beautiful, with lots of natural light. Parking is easy and access is convenient. All in all a great place to learn the art of peace!
