Dr. John Burkett completed his undergraduate work at the University of Maryland College Park in 1985 before moving on to study dentistry at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland at Baltimore, and earned his doctorate in dental surgery in 1989. After working as an associate dentist in Elkton, Maryland for three years, Dr. Burkett and his wife opened Burkett & Burkett, DDS, PA in 1992.

Dr. John Burkett, has been my dentist for the past 10 years. Maureen has been my dental hygienist for that same amount of time. Dr. Burkett and his staff has been the best dental office, I have been to, its always clean, everyone is friendly when you walk in even if you are not their patient. The office staff has always been professional and scheduling an appointment is always easy and they send friendly appointment reminders ahead of time.

Dr Burkett has been my dentist for over 10 years. My recent visit went very well. The wait was brief and my tooth problem was resolved within a half hour! Great to see, and reassuring, that they have prepared well during this pandemic ( temperature check on arrival, masks and face shields for staff etc).
