My daughter has been taking dance classes at Sherwood Dance for about 2 years and she LOVES it. The instructors are all very professional and great with children. They make it structured and fun at the same time. My daughters dance technique improves more and more every week. If you are looking for a fun place for your child to grow as a dancer this is the place for you!.
Each dancer shines as their confidence builds. In a loving, engaging, and compassionate environment, you are pushed to achieve your goals by an instructor who truly believes in you. The lessons learned go beyond the dance steps. Discipline, creativity, personal responsibility, and teamwork are all a part of each class.
Our Dance Season runs September to June. Once the Season has begun, new enrollments are only open in September/October and January/February. Our Summer Schedule and Dance Season schedules are released in the Spring, at which time we start accepting enrollments. Your studio has been a refuge. A place of joy, exercise, socialization with friends, a sense of community, a boost in emotional/mental health, a treasure to our family!
During the Dance Season your monthly tuition payment includes more than just tuition. We took many of the other expenses you incur over the term and spread them out over the course of 10 months. This means there are no other large purchases needed during the year. Our families find inclusive tuition is a much easier way to budget for classes.
Your monthly payment as SDA doesn't just include tuition! It also includes small payments each month towards your recital costume, a recital ticket, a recital video, a photo session, and more. Families love this because there are no other large purchases to make during the year! We will prorate tuition if you enroll part way through a month.

My 4 year old daughter started the 3-4 year old Ballet/Tap class with Miss Jenae this past September. She has enjoyed it so much and looks forward to coming back each week. This is the only activity she does where she hasn’t had a meltdown because she enjoys it so much. She struggles with balance and coordination and I have already seen an improvement since she has started. Miss Jenae is so patient with these littles and great with them. We love coming here!

My daughters have loved dancing at Sherwood Dance Academy since they were toddlers. Now as middle schoolers, they continue to be inspired by their instructors and classmates. The management and staff are very compassionate and supportive of their dancers.

We have been dancing at SDA for 11 years and have had a wonderful experience across all genres of dance! The staff is kind, supportive and pushes the kids in a loving way to do their very best. I have been amazed how hard they have worked to continue this quality of teaching and dance during this pandemic on zoom! Thank you Sherwood Dance Academy for everything you do!

Sherwood Dance Academy is an amazing place to help your kids get out their creative and physical energy. The teachers are kind, patient and engaging. The owner and staff are always kind and available for questions. Even during virtual lessons they have been organized in making classes fun, creative and helping to grow the kids technical skills. We’ve been a part of Sherwood Dance Academy for 8 years and counting and when I think of a common word to bring those 8 years of experience together it is: Belonging. My daughters have always been welcomed, celebrated, and felt like they belonged by teachers and students alike. SDA is a physical place and a feeling all at once- a place to work hard, gain new skills and friends, share your passion, and find new passions and that is only possible because of the excellent staff that cares, communicates, and embraces the strength that each student brings.

Sherwood Dance Academy is the perfect place for kids and adults no matter what level dancer you are. My two daughters ages 7 and 10 have been dancing with SDA since they were two. Because my girls loved SDA so much, I decided to take classes too. Even my husband participates in the daddy/daughter dance every year with the Showstoppers. You are never too old or young to join the SDA family. They are ready to take you in, make you family and support and encourage you along the way. I definitely recommend Sherwood Dance Academy to kids and adults who love to dance.

Our daughter doesn't go here anymore because she's now off to school but when she did a couple years ago, her time here was very beneficial to her. She blossomed as her dance skills grew. The staff treated her so well and encouraged her keep expressing herself. There was a good balance between making it fun and still pushing her a little. I would not hesitate to have your child attend class here!

My girls started at Sherwood Dance Academy 3 years ago and have loved it ever since. They are both really shy, but have both become wonderful dancers and have gained a ton of confidence. They have taken Ballet and Tap, and now are in Acro, Jazz and Hip Hop. They both look forward to dance classes. And both girls have done amazing in the recitals. I thought I would hear them screaming backstage not wanting to go on because they get so shy and nervous. But both went on and look forward to this year's recitals. We have had many of the instructors and there is not one that the girls didn
