Patients should only come to the door at their appointment time - they will be asked to wait in their car if early (new patients should still arrive 15 minutes early). Spouses, family and caregiver are not allowed through the front door unless necessary. If so they will be allowed in to help but asked to wait in their car until the treatment is over.

Mark Dutton, PT opened his physical therapy practice in Belfair in 1999. The Belfair clinic was an independently owned facility that shared the name Kitsap Physical Therapy and Sports Clinics with a respected group of private practices on the Washington Peninsula. Mike Danford, PT started Kitsap Physical Therapy in 1979 and rapidly expanded through the area, over time bringing on new therapist as owners.
If you are a youth, collegiate, elite, or professional athlete when you are injured, you need a physical therapist with experience rehabilitating sports-related injuries. Athletes place higher demands on the muscles and joints and also require sport-specific training to recover speed, power, and agility.
We are experts in the art and science of the evaluation and treatment of human movement dysfunctions. Communication is important for optimal recover after a surgical procedure. We follow a number of post-surgical protocols and take the necessary steps to optimize healing. Manual therapy is a general term used to described highly skilled techniques that are used to improve the movement of joints and soft tissue like muscles and fascia. Techniques may include soft tissue mobilization, traction, joint mobilization, joint manipulation, passive range of motion, movement with mobilization, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, and more.
Patients that suffer from work-related injuries may meet the treatment goals of physical therapy but cannot return to work due to deconditioning (being out of shape). Personalized interventions are also provided to decrease the odds of re-injury upon return work.

Typically, these programs consist of personalized, full-body, intensive training with a focus on the activities that are similar to the physical demands required by a particular category of employment.
