In Washington State, patients are allowed to choose where they go for rehab services, including physical therapy. Many patients have referred their friends and family to our facility as well. Westgate Physical Therapy has proudly served the North End and greater Tacoma community since 1992. By remaining a small private practice, we have been able to ensure personalized and consistent quality patient care that results in positive rehabilitation outcomes. We have a comprehensive 4,200 square foot facility which includes a therapy pool, extensive gym equipment, and private treatment rooms.
From I-5 North or South: take exit 132 to Hwy 16. Take the 6th Avenue exit. Turn LEFT onto 6th Avenue. Turn RIGHT onto Pearl Street. Continue northbound on Pearl Street and turn LEFT onto North 21st Street (Westgate Blvd). Make the first RIGHT into Westgate Terrace. Heading south on Pearl Street: turn RIGHT into Westgate Terrace (between North 26th and North 21st Streets).
I arrived at [Westgate Physical Therapy] looking for help for a very painful and debilitating ailment. I felt awful. The neural foramen is the opening between every two vertebrae where the nerve roots exit the spine. The nerve roots travel through the foramen to reach the rest of your body. There are two neural foramina between each pair of vertebrae - one on each side. Spinal Stenosis is a process of degenerative change to the bony structures within the neural foramen and may result in vascular and/or neural compromise.

Westgate PT has been a life-changer for me! Pool Therapy was recommended to me by my GP for knee and back issues. The therapists were skilled, kind, and encouraging. Westgate Physicals Therapy is like home to us. I have been in and out of P.T. there since 2018. They are very qualified, kind and will listen to their patients. The staff works as a team and believes that humor is an important part of healing! After treatment programs are available to their patients, spouses and the community as a whole. My husband wouldn’t go into a gym for a very long time. One trip into Westgate and meeting the staff convinced him. Now we go together to work out and he is excited to be there! Over the last 6 years I have needed therapy a number of times due to joint replacements and back issues. I am so thankful a friend recommended Westgate. I sometimes feel like I have found a second home.
