We make learning more meaningful with varied activities that will help enrich their curiosity and love for learning.
Infants are taken in a group to have activities such as finger plays, dance, balls, puzzles, and more. Diaper changes are provided as needed. Staff gets the group ready to enjoy outdoor or indoor activities (based on the weather) with a transition activity. Activities that promote gross motor, fine motor, and cognitive development are provided.

Alma is a very caring provider, and her staff is wonderful. Lots of space for kids to play safely. Small, but entertaining indoor space on colder/rainy days. That said: Alma has a very strange way of suddenly changing rules of her general guidelines (regardless of Covid), has a very odd payment system, and if your kid has asthma you should look somewhere a little more tolerant. Other than that, she’s great.

We are so grateful to Miss Alma for all the love and care that she has given our little one.

We started with her when our son was 14 months old all the way up to him going to preschool at age 3. Miss Marie, Miss Vanessa, and Miss Alma are fun and caring with the little ones. They have fun activities, like art, dancing, story time, singing, and more. One of our favorite features is the outside garden and play area.

Finally, we speak Spanish at home and liked that Miss Alma did activities in Spanish and English.

What I didn't include in the original review was that my home became the temporary daycare. When the 4 displaced families were given 2-days to figure if one of us could host the day care, my husband and I were the "lucky" winners. Me and the other 3 kids' parents paid for Bertha, Alma's nanny, to watch the kids. I don't speak Spanish and she didn't speak English. Somehow we managed to communicate but it wasn't ideal. We had Bertha and the toddlers take over our downstairs. Even after switching my work schedule to be home on Fridays to spend more time with

My experience working with Alma was beyond upsetting. I learned you can't trust her word.

I regret not listening to my intuition when I initially toured the daycare. I felt something was off when I spent most of the visit flipping through certificates and reviews in a binder. I desperately wanted to see Miss Alma interact with the toddlers or meet other employees. But neither were allowed. Even after I requested a second visit with my husband. We were given a short slot during the day (with only half the kids awake) and again were escorted to look through the binder. I never did see Miss

Our son was at Alma's for a little over a year. We have been so grateful to Alma and her team for providing such a loving and enriching daycare experience. Our son has thrived with Alma - he's learned how to count, his ABCs, some Spanish, and so much more. We felt great dropping him off each day knowing he would get to play outside in Alma's garden for most of the day, eat delicious food, sing, dance, be silly with his friends; we couldn't ask for anything better.

Our little boy just graduated from here and our time there was incredible. From the facilities, to the food, to the staff, everything was top notch. Alma truly cares about and loves her kids and we're gonna miss this place a ton.

In addition to the exceptional experience, her pricing is on the lower side of most of the day care facilities we researched.

My daughter has been at Alma's for the past year, and has had a wonderful experience. The daycare is extremely well run. They provide two healthy meals a day, along with plenty of activities and outdoor time to keep the kids stimulated and enriched. My daughter is always engaged and happy, and comes home with fun art projects. Miss Alma and her team genuinely love the kids, and vice versa. Communication with parents is great. And everything is clean and orderly. We are so happy Alma's has been part of our child's life.

We love Alma's Children's Garden!! As first time parents it was difficult to find a daycare we felt comfortable with but we hit the jackpot with Alma's. We toured larger daycares but were turned off by the cold institutional feel. Alma's is the opposite. She has created a warm, loving, supportive environment in which my son thrived. My son spent two years with Alma and it truly became a second home.

She provides homemade, nutritious, and tasty meals and snacks for the children (breakfast, lunch, and snacks). The children sing, dance, do art projects, and have plenty

Miss Alma's Children Garden has been an incredible place for our son to grow and thrive. One of the main draws for us was the early exposure to another language during that critical language development period. The staff speak to the children in Spanish and I loved that our son came home with new Spanish words and can now readily understand and respond to questions posed to him in Spanish. Another reason Miss Alma's easily rose above the other daycares was the amazing outdoor space where the children play and explore. The kids spend most of their time outside, whatever the weather, in

Alma's Children Garden has been such a sweet environment for my toddler. Ive loved that she has been learning Spanish. But more importantly, the providers are so gentle and full of love, and it clearly rubs off on the children. During my first visit to Alma's, the kids were super excited to see "the baby". The kids were so sweet, nurturing, and welcoming. This was very touching, and also reflective of the values Alma and her teachers instill in them. My daughter had no issues transitioning from a nanny share, and has since become a "big kid" with similar excitement

I've been calling non stop at the number every single day -(no one has ever picked up) - and I've left a voicemail everytime but the school has never called back. I wonder if your number works.

This center is so cute! Alma and her staff were welcoming and easy to talk with.
We ended up going with a daycare closer to our home but I would have no hesitation sending my kiddo here.

Our 3 year old daughter has been going to Alma's for a year and a half now and we have been so happy to have her there. She started at Alma's when she was 1 after being solely at home with me and my mother. Alma was so great in helping her transition into a daycare setting. I felt so comfortable leaving her with Alma, knowing she was in really caring, loving hands (my 10 year old stepdaughter also attended Alma's so our family has a long history of a really great experience with Alma). Her staff are also so kind and great with the kids. At the end of a long day at Alma's when

Our experience with Alma's Children Garden has been remarkable; it's hard to say enough good things about it. Alma is so gifted in how she handles all the kids - she's "on top of" everything, she's warm, she's enthusiastic, and she knows when to be diplomatic and when to stand firm. Her two staff members are also loving and attentive; we feel very happy having our daughter in their capable hands.

Alma's is superb, and this begins (everyday) with a nutritious and tasty breakfast, all done with organic ingredients. This also sets up a nice social atmosphere

My daughter has been at Alma's Children Garden for 1 1/2 years since her transition from our nanny-share. I wasn't sure I'd feel comfortable leaving her anywhere but I completely trust Alma and the other teachers and don't worry at all now. I highly recommend Alma's! Although my daughter didn't start until she was 2, it's a great place for babies too (she has babies up to preschool).

Alma and the other 2 teachers are wonderful with the kids, giving them support and routine but room to play where they are interested and find their own way. The lush backyard

My daughter has been at Alma's for almost 2 years now. I wish she could be there forever! Alma is incredibly dedicated to making the children happy, healthy, and keeping them entertained and learning every day! My daughter has learned so much (in English and Spanish) and is very attached to Alma and her 2 dedicated assistants. It is always clean, the children are ALWAYS engaged in well-thought out activities, and Alma works on potty training, nap transitions, and other developmental milestones with such care. I truly know she loves the children, enjoys her time with them, and helps them

Our son is 2 and has been going to Alma's for about 6 months. I second everything said above. Alma, her helpers, and her family are warm and kind with each child, and their values seem to mirror our values. Alma genuinely loves children and appears to have an infinite amount of patience and kindness. It was hard for us to part from the care of an attentive and loving nanny-friend, and the transition to Alma's was just what we needed. I'm glad we made the move.

Daycare has been wonderful for our son's social, educational, and emotional maturity. He also LOVES to go to Alma

Our Daughter has been going to Alma's Children's Garden for two years now, since she was 18 months old and we will be so sad to leave now that she is ready for Preschool. It has been such a comfort to us to know that we leave her in such a fantastic place each day. I remember noticing how calm and engaged all the children were when I first visited, and also how beautiful the space is. Alma is so warm with each and every child and takes time every day to talk to the parents about their child. Each day our daughter comes home with art projects, face paintings, a new song, and stories
