It all started when four young Italian cousins, who grew up in the restaurant business, tasted the most delicious and authentic bagel sandwich in a little bagel shop in the heart of Towson. It was an unassuming little shop with a sign that read "Towson Hot Bagels" on the outside. And while the location had less than 15 seats, we had a passion to share our positive energy with the world through our food.
Being a first generation Southern Italian family, we understand that we're not necessarily the first people that come to mind when you hear "bagel shop." If there were ever a place that doesn't want anybody in their store it's THB Bagelry. They make you order from a kiosk and play music extremely loud so that you leave as fast as possible. The space is actually quite large but it's completely empty I wonder why? Not to mention they only accept credit card which completely disenfranchises anybody who doesn't have a bank. Horrible place. The bagels are OK

My wife and I have a regular bagel shop and it is THB (Towson Hot Bagels). My usual is a sausage and egg sandwich on a sesame bagel with avo, tomato, and raw onion. My wife usually gets the veggie on an everything bagel, sometimes with a shmear of their fantastic cram cheese. The bagels are not NY by any means, because they aren't made in NY, however, I love the chew and the texture of the bagel and my order always comes out right and so tasty. My take, give it a try, you'll walk away satisfied.

I’ve called this location over 10 times (no exaggeration) since September to try to get a refund for an order of breakfast bagels that I did not receive. I immediately canceled an order here after placing it and was told by a worker that she canceled the order and I would be refunded. It never happened and I called the store so many times to speak to management and I was always put on hold, hung up on or asked to provide a number that they would “call me back” on. I was never called back and I’ve now given up hope on getting this money returned to me. This is my first time ever writing

One of the best bagels in town, when it’s prepared according to the order. But it happens rarely. I’ve been going to this location for years and it’s become a predictable bad habit of messing up my order. I’ve been patient, trying to order online and in person, but most of the time the order doesn’t come out right. Today after replacing the incorrect order, I had to return it anyway because it still wasn’t done right. Very disappointing, because I like their food. Unfortunately it makes me not want to go there anymore.

I stopped by THB to get some bagels last week. It was my first visit to a THB location. The bagels were fine. Not great, not the worst. Passable. I did like that you can pre-order on the Toast app, so I was able to order and have it ready when I arrived. However, picking up from this location is a bit of a nightmare since it's right on St. Paul St.! I just parked in a spot I probably wasn't supposed to and then ran inside and ran back out. I'm new to Baltimore, and I think of THB like an Einstein's or a Bruegger's, a chain bagel shop that will do in a pinch.

I realize covid changed some things around but to stack a Tuna bagel melt just gets melted cheese and tuna on the bottom of the other half of my bagel. Computer ordering takes some of the personality from this wonderful establishment. The staff has always been top notch here yet now interaction is reduced.

How does this place not have 5 stars! This place is better than half the bagel shops in NY! They offer a ton of customizations making it easy to order online. Double toasted, and scooped? Thank you! The everything bagel also has salt on it which a true EVERYTHING bagel. Love this place, highly recommended!

I love the safe/socially distanced kiosk ordering system and the staff were very friendly and chipper -- their positive demeanors definitely made my stressful workday day brighter! I ordered a veggie bagel sandwich with vegan cream cheese, and the vegan cream cheese was the BEST that I have ever had. 5 star service. 5 star sandwich. Great spot -- will def return!

A solid bagel lunch! I appreciate the iPad ordering system and how quickly my food came out. This location is very spacious and I found a quiet corner on the second floor to enjoy my garlic bagel with salmon and jalapeño cream cheese. Will definitely be frequenting this place since it's so near to my office.

They clearly have poor health standards here as there is no way they tie their hair back or wear hair nets since two LONG strands of HAIR ended up in my sandwhich. How did I figure it out? They forgot the Mayo so I had to add my own. I guess they saved me by messing up the sandwhich because at least I didnt take a bite yet. But I ordered through door dash and by the time it arrived THB was closed. Now I'm without lunch. Disgusted and hungry. Please improve your health and safety standards.

This is definitely the worst of all the THBs. I go here because I'm close and have been a big fan of the Towson one since inception. This one is lacking in most of the ways that count though. They have this nice ordering system but it does not work too well and they will ignore any special preps added to your order. I have NEVER had one of my bagels toasted here despite indicating "toasted" every time. Why? Also the bacon/other items here are never cooked all the way and as someone else pointed out, it's as though they don't finish cooking the bagels all the way because

I tried to give this place a second chance. I don't get the positive reviews... the bagels are extremely tough to chew (they DON'T taste "freshly baked daily"). Caution to those who have sensitive teeth, these may cause harm.
They are really dry bagels, close to stale. On the 2 occasions I went to the place which suggests to me the quality is consistently poor. I asked for a toasted bagel with cream cheese and it did not appear toasted. Also got a side of the home fries which were mediocre... the potatoes are sliced thin and also taste dry. Would rather get a bagel from Panera

I am always on the look out for a homemade gluten free bagel. Why call yourself a bagelry if you're just going to buy Udi's for those of us who still want to enjoy a bagel? I'm so glad I decided to try THB. Their GF everything with lox was ON POINT! My friend had a bacon,egg, & cheese on whole wheat everything and she was impressed for our first Maryland bagel.
We just moved from a Denver, and this place blows any bagel we had there out of the water!
