At OC SkinLab, we understand that every case of acne is different and the way we treat each instance of acne is customized to the needs of our individual patients. Acne is the most common skin condition in the United States today. While most people develop acne at some point in their lives, it typically clears up on its own without the need for dermatological intervention.
It is vital to have a board-certified dermatopathologist interpret skin biopsies, as even routine cases can be misdiagnosed by other providers. Dr. Hure interprets all skin biopsies done at OC SkinLab and routinely accepts outside specimens for processing and diagnosis. In addition, consultations on slides previously read by another provider are happily accepted.

This review is 2 months overdue! Dr. Hure is wonderful. She is lovely and very knowledgeable. Zero waiting time, she was very punctual! I went for an examination of some sun spots and she was amazing. She took her time not only examining my body but also talking to me about what she was looking for it. Her assistant (and I can't remember her name for some reason) was also very friendly and caring. When it was time for the results, although everything was good, it was Dr. Hure on the phone! I loved everything about her and her practice.

Dr. Hure is incredible. I have been with her since 2021 Jan not only has she taken great care of my health, but also she is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It's rare to find a doctor who combines such personal touches and care for a patient with outstanding quality medical care. Her patience and knowledge always make me feel that I would overcome this acne challenge. I would have had excruciating surgery. Now, I don't have to-and I owe it all to their expertise. I recommend Dr. Hure and her staff to any and everyone!!! They have made such a difference!!! The pictures attached

If I could give Dr. Hure and team 10 stars, I would. I found my way to her after a melanoma diagnosis. I was so anxious about the entire situation and she made me feel so much better. She spent so much time with me, doing the most thorough skin check I've ever had, as well as truly educating me on melanoma. Dr. Hure and Suzanne both went out of their way to help me deal with melanoma, both physically and emotionally, during what was an incredibly challenging time.
If you are getting skin checks or have a history of skin cancer, you cannot find a better doctor than Dr. Hure.

I have to admit that visits to the doctors are not my favorites thing to do. (To say the least.) I had never been to a dermatologist and I was concerned about the visit I had arranged at OCSKINLAB. I finally decided to go because they had such fantastic reviews. I was met by Suzanne, who is the nurse at the practice. I found her to be very efficient and very helpful and she did a wonderful job looking after me during my visit and making me feel very welcome and quickly belaying my fears. It was Suzanne who I had spoken to on the phone to arrange my visit. She is a great ambassador for the practice

Firstly, I'd like to commend the appointment system and the responsiveness. As someone with mild social anxiety I love the idea of scheduling an appointment not through the phone, but through an email.
Secondly, the measures that were taken against COVID are really the standard that should be taken everywhere. The staff wore a really tight protective suit, my temperature was measured, and the place had a big air filter (?) working.
Dr. Huru was excellent. She really listened to all my whims and didn't make me feel like anything was too small of a concern. She was extremely details oriented

Dr.Hure was recommended to me by a friend and she’s done an amazing job! It’s hard for me to trust anybody with my face/skin, she has a magical touch and lots of knowledge: she’s answered all my questions when I first talked to her and she was also easy to reach when I had more questions. Super friendly staff, clean office and they always run on time!

Dr Hure at OC skin lab is great. I had a rash that came and went on my calf. She diagnosed it as excema, gave me care instructions and lotion, and it hasn't been back in 6M. When I thought I had something on my nose she took a look and assured me it was non-cancerous.
Both times I was fit in quickly and treated well. And she was pleasant to talk to. Doctors often rush you in and out but she took a few minutes to get to know me. It was really nice.

I had been looking for a dermatologist who has had experience treating medical conditions and not just aesthetic concerns, so I'm thrilled that we've found Dr. Hure at O.C Skin Lab. She is a highly trained physician who takes time to explain everything thoroughly, answers questions clearly and educates her patients. She does a thorough full-body skin exam and as a dermatopathologist she does her own biopsies. What's equally impressive is that she also calls her patients personally to explain the results of said biopsies. She is knowledgeable, professional, while warm and personable

If I could give Dr Hure more stars I would. She is awesome!! Her staff is great too!! If they miss your call since they're on the phone they immediately return your call. They go above and beyond to accommodate appointment times and are truly friendly. Dr Hure is the only Derm I've met that did not take one look at me and have money signs flash in their eyes. She's caring, honest and most important does not push products or services. Her office offers so many services though. You can get most anything skin related done there. So fortunate to have found Dr. Hure!

Dr. Hure is a fantastic dermatologist. She runs on time and you never feel like she is in a rush. I have had melanoma and I trust her with my life. Not only is she located right here in San Juan, but her building is easily accessible with plenty of parking. Her staff is friendly and efficient. So happy we found her.

Dr Hure is the best by far as a provider. Her expertise in Dermatology and derm pathology sets her apart. She's very humble and answer all your questions and actually spend time getting to know you and any issues that you have. Many providers don't do that they spend less time and your issues aren't really their concern not with Dr Hure she make's you her priority. Her staff make you feel at home as well very sweet ladies that try their hardest to get you in and seen. I LOVE OC SKINLAB

I have worked with multiple dermatologist over the past 40 years. I highly recommend Dr Hure. I find her excellent with children and all ages. She is confident in her approach to biopsies and treatments of the skin. She is the only physician to diagnose my Mother’s rare skin disease and has a very passionate approach to treatment. AND she runs on time!!!! Which in my experience is very rare in this field. Dermatologist have a hard time knowing what they may find on a patient’s skin when scheduling an appointment, but Dr. Hure schedules appropriately with respect to the patient’s time. I am

I have been suffering from pretty significant scarring, volume loss and atrophy due to a horrific laser procedure-gone-bad I had done elsewhere a few years ago and Dr. Hure is the first dermatologist to not just give me hope but be honest with me along the way also. Per her recommendation, I had a dermapen treatment for my laser scarring as well as filler to give my face back some of the volume it had lost from the laser. She truly cares and has followed up with me multiple times regarding my healing process (which has been a total walk in the park!!). I also have NEVER had such minimal swelling

I've been suffering from cystic type acne and general hormonal breakouts for more than a year and I've not found any medical relief until I met with Dr. Hure. I'm was so impressed that she asked lifestyle and diet related questions as part of the consideration to tailor my acne regimen. New dermatologist office that deals with mainly the medical side and not so much the cosmetic side (botox, fillers, etc) of skincare. If you have acne, rash, funny looking moles, bald spots, blemishes, then this is the place to go.
The office is decorated tastefully, it almost feels like a spa. I have to say that the doctor is very nice and kind, and she was also very caring. Most importantly, she's knowledgeable and was able to help me with my issue. I finally found myself a great dermatologist!

Having the privilege of working with a variety of physicians as a premed student, I am always inspired when I meet doctors that truly put their patients first. Dr. Hure is such a gift to the medical profession. My husband had a painful spot/sore on the edge of his ear for well over a year. He went to his doctor who referred him to a dermatologist who required him to see their nurse practitioner. After a biopsy and a clear read and no treatment plan but an open sore and much pain and many months, we went to see Dr. Hure. She listened to my husband describe the repeating cycle of symptoms and immediately diagnosed something with a very long name. She prescribed a cream that had him completely healed in less than a week.
