At Evolve Psychiatry, we treat a variety of mental health conditions and addiction issues to help the patient take back control of his or her life. We understand that each individual is unique and that treatment is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Thus, we customize the treatment for each patient to his or her needs.
We will gather all necessary health information on a patient's current condition, medical history, insurance and anything else we need to know in order to develop an effective treatment plan. We can also help patients balance the treatment plan and their daily schedule. We will also explain the entire process to the patient as necessary.
It is a slippery slope toward alcohol addiction that sneaks up on many. What starts out as casual drinking with friends and family can slowly build into dependence and then into a full-blown addiction. Many people will not realize this is a problem until it is too far along to simply stop consuming alcohol.
Contrary to the stereotype, bipolar disorder is not uncontrollable mood swings occurring every other day. While bipolar disorder can involve extreme mood swings, the severity and frequency of them will greatly vary per person. In reality, some people will only experience several episodes in an entire year.
An individual saddled with a drug addiction is encouraged to obtain professional assistance. One's odds of overcoming the addiction are minimal unless he engages in professional drug addiction treatment. This is also true for those who are addicted to alcohol and smoking. If you or anyone in your family struggles with drug addiction, alcohol addiction or a nicotine addiction, do not attempt to fight this battle on your own.

Requested an appointment on 1/8/22, didn’t receive any phone calls so I ended up calling them. Finally got an appointment scheduled for February 3rd, which is already way longer than I would’ve liked to wait. Now today 1/27/22 they call me and say they need to reschedule so I ask when the next appointment is the girl tells me 3/1/22. Thank god I’m not having a psychiatric emergency. This place is terrible. Clearly they have no regard for their patients since they think it’s acceptable to make a person wait almost 2 months.

Scheduled a COVID test online, drove 30+ miles only to be told that they don't accept online appointments. I showed the receptionist the site and how indeed, there is an option to make an online appointment. The receptionist said they've had many people say they made online appointments as well. This is really misleading.

I wanted to register as a new patient, but see on their website that they say “We do not accept patients with chronic pain, or patients who are taking pain medications.” This is literally ableism. How does a supposed healthcare center refuse care to a patient because they have chronic pain? So if I have constant pain due to an injury out of my control, or a cancer patient wants psychiatric help, we can’t receive care? I find this disgusting and am shocked to see it on the website of a few providers in Long Island, but especially a clinic.

If you have any other option, go there instead. Only reason I am here is because my therapist works with them for medications, but even my therapist is working on getting their own prescribers because patients have had so many bad experiences here. I have been trying to get in for a new patient appointment for medication that I am trying to start ASAP and it has been almost a week since I completed the required steps and still nothing. I was told I would be contacted within 24-48 hours but I never heard anything until 4 days after I submitted my paperwork and requested an appointment and it was

I never thought I would look forward to my appointments but Debbie made that possible she is top notch and a true professional. Front desk staff are extremely friendly and give a warm welcome. NP katie is the best at what she does she is also top notch and I developed an amazing relationship with them both. I highly recommend them. They are a great team that offer a family feel.

This office is absolutely horrible. 5 separate times they were supposed to text me a link so I could see my psychiatrist in a zoom call. I need to see my psychiatrist to get my medicine for the following month. This time AGAIN it was not sent to me. I have called 8 times and got a voicemail every time meanwhile my appointment is in a half an hour. They're lazy and don't do their job. I have no idea what the women at the front desk are getting paid for.

We have been waiting weeks for an appointment. The day finally came and while waiting virtually for the appointment get told that she didn’t get her paperwork done and that we were supposed to fill it out. Well we were never sent paperwork nor do we live near where the appointment would be so someone in the office messed up. Meanwhile my child needs medicine changed and it cannot be done so she is suffering and we cannot get help anywhere.

This is based strictly on the office staff. They need to replace the front office staff with new and professional personnel. They give misleading information; they basically fight with patients and call them liars! Upon walking in the office and not being greeted by any office staff, except another patient that said “hello” to me. I had to speak to the office manager on multiple occasions prior to my visit whom assured me that this type of behavior would not happen again. However, on appointment day, it only got worse with the mistreatment by the office staff. It is hard to recommend this doctor
