Overall my personal experience was exactly what I needed. I had no idea that I would be sent away so the first night was definitely a little scary. I’m more thankful for the people that I met there. I was the first time I was sent away to an institution so I don’t have anything to compare it to. All of us there had our own story and it was comforting to know that I wasn’t alone. The staff was OK some better then others. There were some situations that I truly didn’t agree with like with JESSICA. Super sweet, definitely having some battles but they kept her locked in her room 98% of the

I wish I could give 0 stars, a close family member of mine was having an adverse reaction to medication THEY prescribed. Only people I could get through to were two ladies in admitting, I explained what was going on and they kept telling me they couldn't help and wouldn't answer when I asked to speak to the nurse on duty. Then proceeded to keep hanging up the phone on me and transferring me to extensions that go nowhere, the two women in admitting on Wednesday 12/15 in the night shift are awful and don't care about other people just their paychecks...

Mental health and care is a process . people post negative things, they act like they can admit themselves in the facility and be healed change has to come from within we all have ups and downs we deal with, no one is perfect but the dr has a case load a mile long most times and the patient is just responsible for themselves, patients too have to be proactive in the type of care they receive. we all have to do our own due diligence when it comes to a relationship

I would genuinely give this place zero stars if I could.
THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH DEPRESSION. Being the youngest person in the unit was hard enough since I was 18, but they just made it gradually worse for me everyday. I cried so much and not one nurse tried to help me, they merely treated me like an animal, I was not able to sleep for countless nights, and the food was atrocious. We were only allowed to go out once a day for less than 5 minutes sometimes. I went in not on medication and they basically forced me to start taking medication for depression without consulting me about

Like many other with experience at Brunswick Hospital Center and writing reviews here, my family member left more traumatized than when she was admitted to The Brunswick Hospital Center. In the 12 short hours she spent at Brunswick Hospital, my daughter was treated horribly and unprofessionally, denied food or water, and also had her bag containing personal items and a pair of $300 Bose headphones, conveniently stolen by some corrupt staff member, before she left in fear of her personal safety. Multiple efforts to hold the staff accountable for this obvious crime of theft were callously blown off

If you have any other choices don’t come here. It make a condition worse. The nurses is not trained, they treat their patients very violently. This place is like a jail. Dr khans will yell at patients and the only thing he will do is give you medicine that make you numb and you can’t even said a complete sentence after taking the meds. Everyone hate their social work Olivia. They give me ptsd. I have my first panic attack at this place. I’m not in a fight or anything and I’m just having my first panic attack then use just pin me down and poll me in to my room to give me shot. No matter

Disgusting place. Staff did not help at all and attempted to cover up an injury that I received on the premises. Food was spoiled, stale, and they did not respect my dietary needs. Put a 12 year old kid on 200mg of Wellbutrin and took them off after 2 days because "they weren't kicking in". Dr. Kahn put me on sleeping meds after 1 night which caused me to pass out. Obviously I would have trouble adjusting to a new environment and I have never had sleep problems before. I interacted with my social worker about 2 times in the 2 weeks I was there. She did not help in the slightest and acted as if

It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I didn’t feel safe. Nobody even asked why I tried to hurt myself. It was not a place to heal, there were many violent clients. I barely saw the doctor. There were men who disrobed themselves in the common area, a fight in the lunch room whereas folks could not exit. It was so loud at night I could not sleep. The staff was cold & unfeeling and did not know how to talk to my family about suicide. I left with more trauma than I went their with as a young woman at the time.
