Piccolo Italian Market & Deli
We discovered Piccolo by accident in this quaint 1940's old Florida retail oasis filled with delightful personable mom. This place looks great! Need to come back here and actually give the food a try but I did take a bunch of photos to. Nice people and the market appears to have a decent variety. My rating is because of the bread.

It was so tough that a. small piece of my front tooth chipped off and my jaw hurt after a few bites. The toughest bread I've ever tried to eat. We have been looking for an Italian market to visit when we are in the area, and this place was awesome! We got a ton. of unique items for a homemade charcuterie board.

We placed a similar experience on yelp yesterday. Since we saw there we saw there are no responses from the owners I have doubled down and will ensure they see this. It is obvious that things have changed for the worse over the years since the new owners have taken over. We went in to the store yesterday as a second chance from when they previously took over and ordered simply a roast beef sandwich with extra mayo salt and pepper provolone and tomatoes. The amount of roast beef that was in the sandwich was something like you would get at maybe at a Subway chain.Brown edges around the roast beef

Food is good. The pizza has a unique taste as if it were made on sourdough and the arancini were delicious, although we ended up getting meat rice balls when we asked for mushroom/mozzarella. The meat was still good all the same, just not what I thought I was getting.

Yes yes yes, 10 stars if I could!

I love to cook Italian food from scratch thanks to my friend nada mangialetti's mom who taught me how to make her sauce!

Piccolo is way up there for painstaking work and pride in everything they create and with the very best of ingredients. Their pizza crust sauce toppings are perfect in producing a light thin crust DELICIOUS pie. Their entrees including chicken parmigiana excellent full flavored sauce with that bit of bite, lightly fried crusted chicken, marvelous mozzarella.

My family all flew into Angelo's in Little Italy in 2000 for my 50th

We discovered Piccolo by accident in this quaint 1940’s old Florida retail oasis filled with delightful personable mom and pop tiny shops. For my 50th birthday the entire immediate family flew into NYC’s Little Italy’s old Angelo’s to celebrate in their frescoed back room. That’s how much I love truly excellent Italian food!
Piccolo’s new owners ( former employees of the original Bronx born owners) are SUPER fastidious and proud of their high standards in using traditional top quality ingredients. You see this especially in their perfect fresh sausage, and pizza sauces. Their sandwiches

I heard about this place from a coworker who recommended the eggplant. I ordered the eggplant. It was pretty dry and overpriced. I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't impressed either.

A year or two ago, the original owners, natives of the Bronx, sold the place to an employee. I am happy to say that the current owners have kept the basic menu and have maintained the high level of quality. This market and deli would be a welcome place in any "little Italy" in any big city.

This is a town that has a tremendous number of satisfactory or marginal eateries, many with the inflated pricing you would expect in a beach town. Piccolo serves up a wide variety of American Italian food along with a nice sampling of imported goods.

The sandwiches are the stars of the show. Made

Great selection in the market, even has gluten free pasta which is so great! The deli counter is full beautiful fresh olives, cheeses, meets and veggies. Subs are great and super fresh. The grab and go’s are convenient and come with reheating instructions and they are delicious. Employees are very nice and helpful, love this place!

Amazing food! So many choices, from subs, pre-prepared to-go, or prepared to your liking. Homemade pasta is delicious as well as the homemade sauce. Tons of different dry pastas, sauces, cheese and wine. Great little place to grab lunch and dine in or take-out. Perfect for picking up a quick prepared dinner for one or the whole family. As far as COVID precautions, all staff were wearing masks and there were multiple hand sanitizers available. I did not see a sign saying masks required and there was one costumer in the store not wearing one, she wasn't asked to put one on. There didn't

I ordered a sandwich and asked for no oil or tomato to go. When I opened the sandwich it had tomatoes and oil. I have frequented Picola's over the last several years and their sandwiches have been some of the best I have ever had. The last several times I have ordered them they have become skimpy-less and less lunch meats. I doubt if I'll be back.

Since I first tried this place, I've been in at least once or twice a week. The prepared food and deli meats are great, including the pizza and arancini balls. I got a hot sub that was so good I wanted to cry with joy while I ate it. I particularly like buying the sauces to go for a quick weeknight dinner. Friendly employees.

Re COVID, the employees are all diligent about mask-wearing, but they do have indoor dining so most customers don't have masks. But their website says they also offer curbside service and delivery for people who don't want to go inside.

We have been going to Piccolo's for many years and always have enjoyed their food. Unfortunately recently the toppings on their pizzas are very skimpy. That needs improvement. They do have the best subs in town. Enjoy !!!

My husband picked us up sandwiches for lunch and I was expecting to be blown away. I feel like three and a half stars is more accurate opposed to just three stores. But I really don't feel that it's worthy of four stars.

I had the Parma sub with added balsamic. I felt like the balsamic glaze was a little bit watery. I was expecting a really rich, thick glaze. The prosciutto was plentiful on the sandwich, that I will admit. But it was very very fatty, which prosciutto can tend to be. But there was also very little mozzarella on it. There were only a few shreds of basil as well. I just

As an Italian, I 100% approve.

I've been in before for cookies, pastries, and a few other bakery items. Everything was delicious and I love that they have items that you can only find at real Italian bakeries. It brought me back to my childhood memories of visiting the Italian bakery I grew up going to with my father.

My boyfriend stopped in the afternoon before Christmas Eve, and picked us up some chicken parm, lasagna, cannolis, and a variety of cookies. We didn't feel like cooking for Christmas, and wanted to have a nice meal that we could whip up quickly and share together. The

I am not Italian and I am not from up North. I do know that they only sell Boars Head meats and their "market" section is all imports. Not much to speak of when you think of market. Not like a Deli in NYC.

The sandwiches are good. I have had a hot one and a cold one. Both were good. I suggest the Veal and broccoli rabe. It was great. The Dean Martin is the cold sub I had and it was good too.

Bottom line: I don't think of it as a market so much as I do a deli. If you are in the area and want a sub, check it out. Pretty good stuff.

There are 2 loves in life you get to enjoy. #1 is the love from a good woman and #2 the love of good food. Now, I can't help you with #1 but #2, well, just keep reading. Being from NJ, I love me some good Italian food and this is the place to go!

I've had the wiseguy sub, the chicken parm, the Al Pacino, the Frank Sinatra, the pizza and cheese platters and as we'd say up north, fuhgeddaboudit!

Why are you still reading this when you should've put the phone down and started driving after the first paragraph!

Just let them know you read Nick C's review! Enjoy and Mangia

A lot of sandwich for your money

Piccolo's has several sandwiches with good Italian names but I went with the one with no ambiguity whatsoever, The Italian. I got the large and it was an excellent sandwich on good tough bread. By the time you have made it through this one you know you have eaten something.

This was my first time at the new location and the place felt and was brighter and more spacious with several small tables for dining in. I had no problems parking but that may not be the case at other times as parking can be at a premium along Gateway Ave and the next road over Superior
