Services
You should insist on a Title Company with a stable financial history and well-established background in the area. The title agent is the "nucleus" that binds all parties together, the realtors, Homeowners / Condominium Association, and mortgage company. Somers Title Company has been the proud winner of the "Circle of Excellence" from our Underwriter for 5 consecutive years as well as a "Top 5" ranking and an "Agent of Excellence" awards.
The best way to avoid being exploited is to verify the authenticity of requests to send money by speaking with our agents directly. Do not rely on email alone. Home buying and selling may seem complicated to a REALTORS client; let us help simplify the process for both of you while protecting homeowners financially.

This title company is horrible. They did not go over the condo docs at the closing and it was later learned after the signing that I could not use the property for rental purposes.....have to live in the property for two years!
The agent, Jennifer Bornick did not return phone calls and did absolutely nothing to help with the situation.
Stay away from this title company......they will take your money and do nothing for you!

They are a great company and provide wonderful personable service. I use them over and over and have not been let down once. And to the person above me, You and your Realtor have a small window to go over your condo doc and decide to stay in the deal or get out. I happens within the first week of signing the deal. You should be mad at your Realtor for finding you the wrong property. That is of coarse if you told them your plans for use.
