Mia's Italian Kitchen is rooted in family. The inspiration came from Dave's unique relationship with his great-grandmother - she didn't speak a word of English, so they communicated through food. Arriving in the U.S. via boat in 1904 at the age of 20, Filomena Galeazzo Masucci settled in Rochester with her husband and had 7 children.
One of her boys, 'Uncle Pete, ' went on to buy a 75-acre farm on the hills above Canandaigua Lake in the late 1940's. Filomena moved with Pete & his wife into their 105-year old farmhouse, and so begins the story of Dave's experience with Italian farm-to-table home cooking. The menu at Mia's was a created to capture the essence of Partner, Dave Nicholas', great-grandmother's rustic Italian cooking.

They have Duck pizza -_- !!! Enough said! ( Sicilian Roasted Duck ) That deserves 5stars right there. The flavor profile.....redonculous just mouth watering goodness. First time here and they knocked it out of the park to me.
So...they also have this other amazing dish, called ( Braised Short rid lasagna ), yes that's right short rib lasagna. So cheeses and rich, the slightly chard and crispy top crust did me in. If I could have that on every cheat day I would. But sadly this item may not be on the menu long. Whatever you are doing with your life right now stop, and try this lasagne.
Great

If you’re craving Italian food at King’s Street, this is the restaurant to go. The food was so great and rich. I ordered the Bucatini with white sauce. It was very delicious.
But unfortunately service was poor. Not only did our waiter (James T) had us almost pay for the wrong receipt, he also kept us waiting more than 10 mins after asking for the right one while he was just talking with his fellow workers.

So, we walked in this restaurant in one of the busiest days of the year, there was Christmas boat parade. The restaurant was packed and booked however, the front dest lady was super nice and helpful to fit us as quick as possible. The waiter despite of the business was patient, welcomed us and made sure he got all the orders correctly.
Food: the food was SO DELICIOUS! We ordered 4 dishes and haven't planned to stay for dessert but we decided to try their tiramisu which was fresh and delightful as well. Their pasta was hand made and the sauce was wonderful.
Overall, very great experience.

For some reason, we didn't have high expectations for this place. Boy, were we wrong. Let me just cut to the chase: the carbonara was the best I've ever had. The handmade pasta had the most perfect Al dente bite; the sauce was creamy and rich; the guanciale pork was crispy yet had just enough rendered fat. I would come back to this place just for this meal. And I only ate half of it; it was that satisfying.

One of our favorite restaurants ever and the BEST bottomless brunch I’ve ever had! The zucchini fries, Italian toast and apple donuts are a must. All the pastas are excellent but I dream about the cacio e pepe. They have some seasonal dishes like a short rib cheese dip and different burrata dips. All their brick oven pizzas are great, my favorites are the spicy sausage, funghi, and duck. They come in just the right size too! This is a weird recommendation, but their Caesar and Sunday salads are 👌🏼 they also have tasty cocktails. I usually get the red sangria. Plus, the servers use handheld

This place was so festive and intimate for dinner. The service was incredibly fast and the food was super fresh. I ordered the Spaghetti Pomodoro and had no regrets. Loved the Christmas decor to put myself in the holiday mood. The dishes were also something that added to the experience as they were extremely fun and adorable. They were quick to sit as a walk in between reservations which was extremely nice as well given the busy holiday season.

WOW!!!
I used to love this place when it was a different Italian restaurant called Carlucios and I was sad when it closed down! But if I knew that ARP group will do such a great job I'd have wanted Carlucios to leave long time ago!
ARP turned that place to a GEM ! they maximized the beauty of this property! It's a peice of art! Such a wonderful corner location and sitting outdoor or inside near the huge windows when they open it on breezy nights are such a wonderful experience!
I started as a customer for pizza! They used to have a late night offer when I go there late, sit at the pizza

I have been to Mia's Italian Kitchen twice with my husband, once in the fall and once very recently during the winter. We enjoyed our experience both times. I particularly enjoyed the pizza though I can't remember what kind I got last time (I want to guess diavolo or the pesto one). I remember the serving size was small for the price, but given that the location is very ideal next to the pier, this is to be expected. The more recent time, we ordered the Braciole Di Manzo and Spaghetti Alla Carbonara, both of which were very good, especially the spaghetti. The chicken parmesan is also

Mia's has become our go to for Italian. We discovered them during the pandemic and they quickly became a staple.
We usually do take out and their online ordering system never gives us trouble. We usually never have to wait long for our food and there have never been any issues with it.
When things started opening back up again we decided to venture in and the good news is they are just as amazing in person. Servers are always friendly and on top of things. Food is always delicious and plentiful.
We love hitting up their brunch on the weekends or just ordering some pizza to take home

Come for the Old Town charm and stay for the great Tuscan food with a New England flare. We enjoyed the food and ambiance. If you are in a rush, the service may be frustrating, but we were in no rush and enjoyed not being interupted. The muscles are delicious and highly recommend the oven fired pizzas. Good wine and beer selections. Cheers!

A solid four stars for food, atmosphere, and overall experience. I made same day reservations for a group of 8 and they had no problem accommodating my group. Our server explained the two different kitchens--one for food and one for pizzas--to ensure we understood that depending on our order the food may arrive at different times. I appreciated the heads up.
The menu is Italian with standard items like lasagna, pastas, picattas, pizzas, etc. My group ordered the burata appetizer (highly recommend) and calamari. I ordered the chicken picatta, which is my go to. I don't eat pasta and I love

Mia's is my favorite Italian restaurant hands down. There wasn't one aspect of the night that wasn't near perfect.
Service - 5/5
Our server was attentive, efficient given she was managing multiple tables. Each drink & food item came out quickly and soon after each other.
Drinks - 5/5
Citrus Sangria was refreshing and came in good quantity. It could've used a little bit more alc in my opinion, but overall delicious.
Food - 5/5
Words can't describe how delicious each meal was. I would highly recommend the Zucchini fries & Chicken parm. Keep in mind the pasta

Found at the busy end of Kings Street and Union, Mia's Italian Kitchen is pretty popular - make sure you get reservations especially for weekends or brunch. We started with their happy hour drinks of a Paloma which was pretty strong and deliciously refreshing, tasted like they put real grapefruit in it.
My friend had the braised short rib lasagna - super cheesy and took a while to find the meat. I had the carbonara- SUPER decadent and creamy. The pasta itself tasted fresh and had an al dente bite to it, would love to try more of their menu next time!

This restaurant is so cute ! We were lucky the weather was so nice we were able to eat outside. The street in front is closed allowing us to enjoy the cute city and a band was playing just around the corner.
The food was delicious and the pasta seemed homemade. They have a nice bottomless brunch option on weekend that I can’t wait to try !
Our waitress was super nice and very helpful. It was a pleasure to eat and spend some time there. We’ll definitely come back !

MY oldest Godson treated me to a wonderful #birthday #lunch yesterday.
It was a nice, albeit gloomy day, so we opted to dine outdoors. It'll probably be one of the last times we'll get to enjoy #patiodining before the season changes, so I wanted to take full advantage. It's a great spot to people-watch and enjoy the scenery.

Was visiting old town for the first time and a coworker recommended Mias! The vibes at Mias matches perfectly with this adorable town. I cannot compliment their decor/interior design more!!
But onto the food!
We got the summer citrus sangria pitcher ($24) to share. This one is Moscato based so it was too sweet for my liking. And it was dangerous because you really couldnt taste any alcohol and it tasted like juice! So if youre into that, youd love it!
I got the Roasted Duck pizza ($9.50) because so many people raved about how good it was and Im so glad I got it. The flavor and the texture combination

The first time we went to Mia's was on a Saturday for brunch. We didn't have a reservation but were able to walk in and be seated promptly. The hostess and wait-staff were all very friendly.
They have all you can eat brunch and it's totally worth it. Their portion sizes are HUGE and everything came out fresh and hot. Drinks aren't unlimited but from what I can remember they were reasonably priced.
If you go, be sure to come hungry and bring a second stomach haha!
Since this is in Old Town Alexandria, there is plenty of street parking or you can pay to use the garage nearby

We had bottomless brunch $26 pp. and a pitcher of sangria (Italian). One person in my party had coffee.
The restaurant is in a very lively part of Alexandria. It had indoor and outdoor seating.
Food was amaaaazing and relatively inexpensive for DC area prices. It was bottomless so we ordered a bunch of options.
Zucchini fries
Sicilian roasted Duck pizza
Diavola pizza
Warm burrata
Fettuccini al funghi -- mushroom pasta
Caprese
Cinnamon raisin Italian toast.
We all loved our Sangria. It didn't come with ice or fruits in it but we got the citrus fixes on the side.
