Orthodontic appliances work by placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction to slowly move teeth to a corrected position. Dr. Hunter uses completely invisible orthodontics with custom solutions that combine the latest esthetic options - often including a combination of orthodontic devices - resulting in superior outcomes, more comfort and shorter treatment times.
When you call, our staff will explain your first orthodontic visit to you. They will also gather enough information to check your insurance benefits for you, and have everything ready for your first visit. We will schedule an appointment for you or your child to have a thorough, individualized examination with Dr. Hunter.
If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. You should only cancel your appointment if it is an emergency, to prevent any delays in treatment. Please call our office at 248-449-1677 for any emergencies. An emergency appointment may be made when you have severe pain, a loose bracket/band or an irritating arch wire.

Each time Dr. Hunter has worked on my daughter’s orthopedic appliance the wiring and brackets have come loose within an hour or two and started cutting my daughters cheeks. Each time I called back they refused an immediate appointment and my kid had to suffer from pain for at least a week. Receptionist is very rude and does not give you a chance to finish what you are saying. Service is terrible, obviously the work is substandard otherwise wiring would not come loose within an hour. I intent to file a complaint with LARA.

Dr. Hunter and his entire staff were wonderful throughout the process of giving our daughter a beautiful smile. After carefully laying out different plans, they guided us along, always anticipating our questions and being flexible with a teenagers' erratic schedule. Dr. Hunter is more than an orthodontist, he's a smile architect. His artistic instincts can be seen in the hundreds of beautiful smiles he has created.

I took my son to several consultations before seeing Dr. Hunter. He was the only orthodontist who didn’t want to put big appliances in my sons mouth. He had more innovative ideas and still kept the cost reasonable. He is easy to get into and listens to any concerns. The whole team at his office has been amazing. Kathleen at the front desk has been great to work with. She always makes it convenient to get a time that is right for us. I would definitely recommend this office to other people.

We've had two great experiences with Dr. Hunter and his team. It started with our daughter who had significant pallet and bite issues. Dr. Hunter developed a plan and executed it to perfection resulting in a gorgeous smile. The experience was so good my wife became a patient and now has an equally gorgeous smile. The entire staff is kind, patient and caring. Just a tremendous experience. As a family we highly recommend Dr. Hunter and his team.
