As our Family Nurse Practitioner, Cristy O'Connell is committed to patient care and advocacy. Cristy has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over four years with experience in emergency medicine, family medicine, pediatric care, and adult urgent/primary care. Cristy is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as a member of the organization.
Prior to opening Health XPress Medical Center, Cristy was the CEO and Family Nurse Practitioner at an Urgent and Primary care clinic. Before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Cristy worked as a full time Registered Nurse. Outside of the clinic, Cristy enjoys spending time with her husband, her puppy Xena, boating, and going on bike rides.

I love the convenience of Health Express! During my recent visit I was in and out quickly, the front office staff were friendly and helpful, and the doctor who treated me was thorough and caring. I also appreciated the ease in setting up my "digital chart" with them and the text communication. I can't say enough good things about this Urgent care!

This is my third visit to Health Express… Christina is just such an outstanding NP… she took the time to sit and discuss my symptoms and how they are related to COVID… I wish my PCP took the time to exam and speak to me . This is a top notch place to go if you are sick or simply needing a COVID test. If you are lucky to get Christina to exam you then count you blessings.. every one is good but there is just something about Christina that I related to

This was the first place in 4 days that I was able to walk in and get a rapid Covid test within 30 minutes. It is a self pay only for Covid testing and I needed results today which totaled $250. Very unfortunate in a city where everyone is struggling to get tested, insurance is covering these test, and right after the holidays - I can't afford to go and get another one if I needed to at that price.

Dr O’Connell is amazing. Seen her twice now. She’s friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. I made her my new PCP coming from P3 medical group and I am so glad I did. The only thing I’d like to point out is the tech could of been more professional. When she asked me what my medical history was, she didn’t know how to spell anything that I was telling her and after trying to list my allergies surgeries etc. she literally gave up and just didn’t add it to my chart. She seemed very unhappy. A very odd encounter but the doctor is great!

I went to Dr. O'Connell's Health Xpress Medical Center for covid test. The experience was pleasant and the staff were extremely helpful and efficient! Dr. O'Connell and her staff are absolutely wonderful and kind! The waiting wasn't long. I highly recommend this place for anyone that trying to get covid test or regulat physician to see Dr. O'Connell, she's amazing! Thank you Dr. O'Connell and her staff for taken care of me and the community as a whole!❤

Cristina is amazing. She cares about her patients and will always choose to do the right thing. She has helped me tremendously in reaching my health goals and she truly cares. She is up-to-date on all the newest treatments and has no problem having real conversations with me. I have also seen Cristy too and she is one smart cookie. This is an amazing gem of any office that I'd like to keep to myself but I have so many friends and family that are trying to find good healthcare.
