Services
Janell received a Doctorate of Pharmacy from University of the Pacific and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating, she returned home to work at CVS until her dream job opened up at a compounding pharmacy in Auburn, CA. I'm a problem solver. I enjoy being creative and helping people, says Janell.
Every person is unique; their hormone therapy should be too! Bioidentical hormone prescriptions may include combinations of estradiol, estriol, estrone, progesterone, testosterone and DHEA in the exact strength and dosage form that best fit an individual patient. Dosage forms include capsules, troches, gummies, creams, ointments, gels, vaginal creams and suppositories.
MitoCORE supplies key mitochondrial micronutrients and a smart combination of alpha lipoic acid, N-acetyl cysteine, and acetyl L-carnitine to boost cellular energy production. Cerenity PM is a comprehensive formula created for patients experiencing occasional sleeplessness. Cerenity PM promotes a healthy sleep cycle by naturally boosting levels of serotonin, GABA and melatonin.
Most capsules are filled with an inactive substance like cellulose or dextrose. At Gold Country Compounding we believe that the filler shouldn't be wasted space. Based on prescriber and patient preference, our capsules can be filled with acidophilus, ginger root powder, milk thistle extract, magnesium glycinate and other health promoting supplements.

What a gift we have in Gold Country Compounding Pharmacy! Shop local for your Compounding Pharmacy needs, Janell will take great care of you! After the last one in Nevada County closed, I was happy to find Janell and her staff. She is so knowledgeable and helpful, and I feel well taken care of with her help! If you have allergies, she's probably already using quality ingredients that will work for you, and she will adapt the process for your special needs. They have very fair pricing and will ship your Rx to you for free as well, which is super extra helpful nowadays! I recommend switching to Gold

I am so happy to be able to support a local business. I was ordering my compounded Thyroid and hormone medications from a pharmacy in Colorado. WHAT? I know. That is just not right. Turns out, being local and seeing them in person is a huge benefit. Super helpful and very friendly. They even have high end supplements that I use making my self care shopping easy as 1-2-3. Gold Country Pharmacy provides specialized prescriptions with personal service, good prices and convenient pick-up or delivery options (my preference) at reasonable cost. They are friendly, knowledgeable and work with alacrity. They answer the phone, or call back promptly and seem to genuinely care about their customers. Reminds me of good, old fashioned customer service. I highly recommend them.

They are very helpful with explaining and working with me on my prescriptions. I have a small dog and was having a awful time cutting her pills in quarters Janell was so great explaining to me how I could combine two of her four medicines into one liquid, this is gonna make everything so much easier. The whole staff has been very helpful. I am so glad I found them.

Janelle was so incredible! I felt untreatable as a person with severe allergies and intolerances. I needed an antibiotic and called Janelle. She was so compassionate and kind. She found the best possible option for me, called my doctor twice and talked at length with me. She didn't even end up with my business as she called my prescription in to a closer pharmacy.
