It is our work to step into the most tender moments faced by a family. We show up when our clients feel the deepest loss and the most profound grief. That the family heals when the family participates. That warmth, personal touch, and kindness create moments of deep cartharsis. We recognize the various emotions that occur at the time of death and hold a sacred space for families to experience these emotions.
We promote the emotional and spiritual well-being of the surviving family by not rushing the departure of the deceased. We encourage families to light candles, play music, give a toast, tell stories, dress their loved one in a departure outfit. We reverence the manner in which the deceased is transported.

Services
Threadgill's Memorial Services has been serving the Beaverton area and Portland Metro community for many years. We're thankful to be an important part of this community and will continue our longstanding legacy of helping families honor their loved ones. Ron and Deborah re-met at a funeral for a mutual friend in California 32 years ago and were married a few months later.
If your loved one is on hospice or in a healthcare facility, the funeral home is called directly. But if the person dies at home or somewhere that is not a healthcare facility, you'll need to contact emergency personnel before they can be taken into our care. As a rule, the police will come and talk to you and check with the Medical Examiner before releasing the deceased into our care.
Funeral planning can be a difficult process while grieving the loss of a loved one. But having a funeral provides those who are grieving a place to receive support, come to terms with their loss, say goodbye, and honor their loved one's life. Being surrounded by family and friends lets everyone share stories and memories and creates a lasting support system as everyone begins their grief journey.
Here at Threadgill's Memorial Services, we offer gentle, eco-friendly alternatives to typical flame cremation. The scientific name for this water-based process is alkaline hydrolysis. It is the same process that occurs as part of nature's course when a body is laid to rest in the soil. We use a combination of water flow, temperature, and alkalinity to accelerate nature's process, and it is an entirely flameless process.
To help you make an informed decision about your funeral service options, we've broken down all the costs in our general price list. We also have several payment options to lessen the financial burden. If you have any questions, please reach out, as our staff is happy to help you explore all your options.

We are thrilled with our selection of Threadgill’s Memorial Services. Debora Threadgill, who is the owner, picked up my mother, and her caring and compassion was matched by her professionalism. She was a pleasure to deal with on a very difficult day. Her attentiveness to us was exceptional as she carefully prepared my mother and us for the process ahead. Mom would have loved that her last ride was in a beautiful white minivan rather than something more somber. Down to the detail of Mom’s favorite song, Debora managed everything with amazing grace and sincerity. As she drove away from us, we

My mom suddenly passed and I live out of state. Deborah was amazing. She was so supportive and helped walked me thru the process. I was only in town for a week to handle my moms affairs and the death certificate was going to take 2 weeks. Deborah spoke to the doctor while they signed the cert and then went and waited at the county to get it for me… with in 24 hours. She asked what type of music my mom wanted and played the music while she was riding with them. They take care of your loved ones like they are their own. I can’t thank them enough for being so supportive and helping me

Ron and Deborah were so easy to get along with, kind and thoughtful. When they came to pick up my mom after she died, I immediately felt that these were people who do this difficult job because it is a calling and a passion. I really appreciate their wholistic approach to death and caring for a body after death. They asked my brother and I questions about who my mom was so that they would know and have a sense of her as they took her body on it's last ride. The gurney didn't look like a black death bag, but had a sweet flowered comforter and pillow, it was so dignified and elegant. I felt that

I purchased a burial contract with an out of town mortuary service 11 years ago for my mother. Sometime during those years their management changed and things got messy. Threadgill's stepped in and advocated for me with the out of town service to make sure that the terms of my contract were honored. They provided the immediate services that I needed locally, and all of this on very short notice and during a snowstorm! Deborah and Ron were wonderful, don't know what I would have done without their help. They turned a potentially nightmare experience into a happy memory for my family. I will always

Simply put outstanding ! They handled my brothers service and burial in an extremely dignified caring manner. It was as if he was one of their family members they were taking care of. I could not get out there because of the pandemic. I was definitely concerned about the dignity and care his burial would receive. I don't think you'll find a better organization to handle your loved ones remains and burial.
Thank You, Deborah Threadgill

I cannot express how grateful i am for Deborah and Ron. My neighbor had a stroke two weeks ago and the family was lost and confused. After finding out that they didn't have the funeral arrangements set up, i called Deborah and asked her if she could help. She came out the same day and sat down with the family and explained the whole process. Very professional, compassionate, showing lots of empathy but still keeping her cheery, positive outlook. Yesterday my neighbor passed away and when the family was ready, Debra and Ron came to the house and with their professionalism and wonderful care, they

Ron and Deborah’s professionalism is only exceeded by their genuine compassion and willingness to go the extra mile. Their advice and help was much appreciated from the planning process through their final responsibilities. As far as our family is concerned, Threadgill Memorial is more than five-star.

It is difficult to imagine a more trying time than saying goodbye to a loved one. Threadgill eased the process with their compassion and respect. It is clear that they do what they love. It shows. I knew that the company was owned by Ron and Debra but did not expect them to be the ones to show up at the door. They were very sensitive to our feelings and we were at peace knowing that our loved one was in good hands.

I recommend Threadgill's highly, without any reservations. The owners took care of my family personally, as they do with everyone. They were thoughtful, kind and went above and beyond in every way, from coming back later in the day to give a family member time to arrive and say their goodbyes, to providing honest, personal advice about options, to sewing a lovely personalized bag for my mother's ashes for travel to her memorial. They are the best.

Ron is absolutely fantastic to work with!! He was so kind the day my father died and treated my father's body with so much respect. He gave my family sage advice about grieving and then walked us through the process of having my dad's body flown to California. We were very blessed to have him and Threadgill's working with us through this difficult time. - Cheryl W
