Services
Hustad Funeral Home was founded in 1958 by Joseph and Rose Hustad with the mission of providing funeral and cremation services at reasonable prices to the families of St. Johns and North Portland. They were later joined by their sons, Joseph O. Hustad, Jr. and John Hustad.

In 2010, Scott Logan joined the firm as owner and brings with him over 22 years of experience to continue the caring tradition of service that the Hustad Family brought to this community.
In all forms of business today there are big, international companies that have made their profits by taking over small firms. The funeral profession is no exception. Many businesses have been swallowed up by the giants. The trouble is, there usually isn't any change of name to tell you the difference.
Our funeral home is designed for comfort and privacy. Our office for private counseling, comfortable viewing rooms, a reception room and a chapel suitable for large or small gatherings are all conveniently located in one building. Our updated chapel can accommodate approximately 150 - 175 people. Equipped with a state-of-the-art Audio Visual system, we can offer video tributes to families that enhance traditional or memorial gatherings.
Staff members of Hustad Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Born in Connecticut, Scott came to Oregon with his family when he was young to the Eastern Oregon town of Milton-Freewater.
The burning desire to See is the natural human response to any event. It's already real on an intellectual level as soon as we hear about the event, but to make it real on an emotional level we must See. Psychologists tell us that all traumatic events introduce a certain amount of chaos into our lives and that the lingering effects of chaos is what most people refer to as grief.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! We planned on going with a place closer to our house but quickly changed our mind after stopping by and being with Scott. He helped me and my niece do her mom's funeral. We were in total shock and he was so patient and kind. Helped us with everything and found a really good celebrant to do the service. Thank you so much for making this process as easy as possible.
